tony: Until 21st September MuxD from Sutton Coldfield uses C55 which places the line up of frequencies in use at S/C for standard definition muxes in group E. (The HD mux from Lichfield on C34, if required, changes the required aerial group to wideband.) From DSO step 2 on 21st September 2011 all muxes from Sutton Coldfield will use frequencies in group B, which is also the original group used for the analogue signals.

I have just swapped my old televison to a new LCD tv, and my digibox was working with all multiplexes on the old tv, but now not on the new one. I have only 4 multiplexes currently on the new tv.
I have run all the checks you have suggested but there is no change.
I know that there is nothing wrong with the digibox or the signal to all multiplexes.
Can you please help??

David Chuter: You do not appear to be in a particularly good reception area with one predictor actually indicating "no reception possible", however the DTG trade predictions indicate that at the present time Sandy is possibly your best bet, albeit with only three Mux's being received Ch27 - Ch24 - Ch21, the latter being the HD Mux.
Its really a case of what the station's were that you were previously receiving, as 2 Mux's from Waltham are also showing as being possible, these being Ch49 - Ch31, although from the 12th of October this year you should be able to receive all 6 Mux's.
Your situation also shows another change in November 11th 2011, with all six Mux's from Sutton Coldfield showing as being possible.
Maybe you could indicate what you were previously receiving, and also what kind of aerial arrangements you have, this particularly important because of your low signal area.

Why is ch41 the BBC mux on sutton coldfield giving such a bad signal quality? All other muxe's seem to be ok with a signal quality of around 70-90% and a signal strength of 70% but ch 41 goes between a zero and 70% signal quality at random most of the day. The signal strength remains around 70%. It is almost unwatchable in fact I am resorting to analogue for BBC programs. My post code is B75 5LR

Hi, I've recently started to get low signal on ITV4 and the other channels in that MUX, any ideas? There have been no changes to my aerial, freeview box etc. I've tried doing a few auto retunes but that has no effect.
The channel had been fine for over a year but now is very difficult and almost impossible to watch
Channels on the other MUX are fine and I have no problem with them
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Ian: If you're north or north-west of the transmitter, or if your aerial points in that direction, you may be affected by occasional interference from ArqB from Winter Hill, which uses the same channel (C55). Winter Hill's power level on this multiplex is restricted to reduce the problems, but some people are still affected.
Try rescanning during the day, if you last rescanned at night, or vice versa. Signal propogation - how it travels - varies depending on weather conditions and on temperature layers in the atmosphere, so some variation is normal and to be expected.
The problem will go away at switchover, as Mux D/ArqB will be moving to a new frequency that will not clash with Winter Hill.

&my aerial is on the roof and until the switchover i recieved all channels with no problems now i cannot get bbbc1& 2 all other channels are ok with no problems at all were do i go from here many thanks in advance if the problem can be resolved
