Paul, the Freeview HD service starts from the second retune,we have to do,on the 21st of this month.
It is already being transmitted from the Lichfield site, but on low power, but this will stop then, and the high power HD signal will come from Sutton.
The above assumes that you have a TV or PVR that can receive HD in the first place, there has been a lot confusion about that, people thinking they have a HD set, when it's only HD ready, not the same thing.

Dave, the low power Freeview HD service from Lichfield, that is on 'now',is directional towards Birmingham,so I think that is why you can't get it.
After the 21st of this month, when you have done the second re-scan,you should then get it,as it will coming from the Sutton Coldfield site, and at about fifty times the power as it is from Lichfield, right now.

The TV news announced that BBC2 analogue was to be switched off AND the power level was to be increased on 7th September. The channel switch around did improve the coverage in the ST17 area but do I understand correctly that the power increase only comes about on the 21st?

In response to a earlier post. I am an aerial installer from the Coventry area. The new mux now on full power (CH43) is defiantly transmitting on full power . We have noticed a average of 13dB 20dB increase of signal.

Martin Brett: Yes, as per the information at the top of the page.

Peter Holt.: The services you receive will depend on the direction your aerial points. If you could say which frequencies you are receiving signals on, it would be possible to work it out.

I've lost BBC1 & BBC2 from the TV's internal Freeview box, switching to analogue shows BBC1 on 1 and ITV1 on 2, will I get digital BBC1 & 2 back on the 21st or is it new Freeview box time? (it's an old TV, wondering if BBC1 & 2 are now out of it's range or something)
Thanks
Si
