cheers for the quick response, we havent got anything else plugged in, the ariel was new a couple of years ago, a mate round the corner just bought a brand new ariel and we tried everything point it one way you get everything but mux2 point it opposite way get only mux2 nothing else. thing i cant understand is everything working fine until the 13th, been told its tough have to wait tilkl august and point to waltham

jay: If you can't get the signal back for multiplex 2, then waiting until August and using Waltham is indeed the best advice for stable reception.
Your other option is to add Freesat to your system.

The signal is fine in the daytime, but around 11pm.. 11:30pm the signal just goes and thats it, it never returns untill around 1pm the next day.. sometimes earlier and sometimes later! Its so irritating

been caught out twice now with nottm relay, just re-read all above and only 5 mux for sd channels !!! is this the same for all transmitters? and mux psb3 (ch21) is hd? as i thought mux's 7&8 would be used for that? comes up "unidentified" on meter (ch 21) but a strong reading.

ian, notts: Yes, BBCB is used for Freeview HD on every transmitter. NEW7 and NEW8 are for Local TV - if an when it launches.
Any DVB-T box will not identify BBCB's signal, only DVB-T2 equipment can see it.

Thank you Briantist! I looked at them and its possible but surely if that was the case, it wouldn't be just over night and some of the day, it would be a constant issue? The signal for SDN right now is declining so i expect that maybe by midnight it will be off completely! I have a 90% strength but only 45-50% quality, yet during the day it is as high as BBCA and D3&4.. but they don't go walkies!
