Yu - How many flats? the most likely problem is that power to the splitter amplifier has been lost. Either a direct supply, or for a smaller installation up from someone's flat through the coax and a box plugged int othe power supply.

Steve,
There are 4 flats.
I think you are right, because we also have lost the electricity for the lights in communal area. We'll check it.
Thanks!

Since the retune 20th April I have noticed that I am getting duplicated channels from Wrekin transmitter on PSB2 (ITV1 etc) and Muxa (ITV3 etc) there is no duplication of the PSB1 (BBC1 etc) mux. Where a channel is duplicated it seems to be of similar power and strength so it is more an annoyance than a problem. Why is it happening and is it likeley to go away after the final west Midlands switch on in September

I did a retune with the aerial disconnected before doing a full retune on April 21st. The problem occurs with both my JVC TV and Toshiba PVR and has only happened since April 21st.

John Low - It sounds like you are getting signals from two different places. Do either of your TV/PVRs helpfully show what broadcast channels different programmes come on? Some do, some don't. If they don't, you may be able to work it out by watching as it scans.
If you have duplicates, one should be on the "Proper" number; the other dumped in the 800 series. Then you can switch as you prefer.
I'm assuming that you understand the transmission frequency and Muxx/Programme info above, but do ask if not.

Thanks Steve, My aerial is pointing north to The Wrekin but I am receiving two channels from Ridge Hill which is towards the south west.
Now I know what is going on I will sort out the channel numbering.
I just did not expect such strong and viewable signals from a different direction.

John Low: Yes, Yagi aerials perform almost as well for transmitters directly behind the aerial as they do "in front".
