Totally unimpressed with the switchover - before the evolution commenced we had over 128 channels available. Today - final switchover day, a pathetic 83!
It's probably good if you want shopping channels, Adult channels etc; but channels that interest this house* - seemingly no provision, no luck.

Before the switch-over happened i could receive all freeview channels without any problems after the 6th I could no longer channels such as 4 and 5 pick tv usually broke up I could also no longer receive film 4 viva 4 music and some radio stations, the signal was generally poor on most channels accept for bbc and a few others during the day however channels such as pick tv at night the signal strength would be 5-10% but signal quality would be 95% however i think it maybe down to my dvr not working properly as my Panasonic tv didn't have as many problems with signal but it was still very weak and channels such as 4 music and viva film 4 were not working they have signal but no signal quality. last night 4music viva film 4 were all working and the signal was in green so around 60% on my dvr the signal was weaker, this morning i retuned i can now get all HD channels, itv, channel 4, bbc, however i am now missing everything else such as dave 5* mux D mux C the I believe channel 49 had 10 to 20 % signal quality but no strength ? used to be able to get 71 tv channels but now when rescanning i can only get 22, i don't think its my aerial as its a 91 element wide band and it used to work fine (its mounted out-side my house) the signal is also split 3 ways but is fed through an amplifier. Any ideas? I'm losing the will to live

Still getting all channels here (IP2) after switchover, but CH50 and CH54 Muxes have increased signal strength but MUCH reduced signal quality (down from 100% to 60% on my Panasonic PVR) which I assume, again, is because they are now in 64QAM mode which effectively reduces the power. Both still at very low power until June 2012 of course. Oddly, both show as 100% on my LG TV!
As an aside, I sent a long letter to the local paper here (Ipswich Evening Star) a few weeks ago, warning that DSO2 did NOT put everything onto full power (despite what Digital UK had published in said journal), and they refused to publish it because it contradicted the official mis-information. I'm thinking of hacking the editor's phone to teach him a lesson ....

Before the switch over on the 20th I had all channels, I now have interference on channels:
3,4,5 & 6. I have Auto tuned the T.V several times but only seems to start on channels 6 upwards. T.V had built in free-view.

Good result after switchover here. Receiving 102 (TV & radio) channels via the wideband chimney aerial, and an impressive 58 on the Yagi loft aerial. Signal strength 60-80% average.

I have a sony set top box, VTX-D800U
Now we have gone through full DSO, It will
only receive channel 49 / mux 4
and nothing else.
Have done a full factory reset and re-scan.
Various forums suggest this is 8k compatible,
but is this the problem that it's not?
advice needed please

After 20th July I have lost many channels but thought that the power increase would enable me to receive the feeble ones like ITV4. This used to be broken up but now it has totally gone. The chart indicates that many of the channels I once had are if anything at less power.
Is it planned to raise the power of these channels later or do I have to go for freesat please.
I have a fairly new wide band antenna and live in Little Baddow CM3.

Alan Matthews: The power was only increased to the PSB muxes (which carry the main BBC channels and ITV1 etc.). There has been an effective power drop on the COM muxes which have changed transmission mode.
To cut a long story short; muxes ArqA, ArqB and SDN do not increase to full power until 27th June 2012. This includes ITV4 which is on ArqB along with many of the commercial channels. Unfortunately, if you cannot receive them today, you may not be able to receive these channels until next year.
Could you provide a full postcode so your predicted coverage can be checked?
