Brian : I note the WINTER HILL Arq B power is still showing as 12.5kW above, shouldn't this have increased to 100kW by now (in line with the Sutton Coldfield final switchover), has something gone wrong ?

Nedbod.Sutton Coldfield commenced its first stage final switchover in the early hours of Wednesday 7 September 2011 when their BBC2 analogue signal was permanently switched off,and the high powered multiplex BBCA Mux on ch 43,was switched on to maximum 200kw power. You will have to wait until the early hours of Wednesday 21 September 2011 when Sutton Coldfield's final four remaining analogue stations BBC1,ITV1,C4,C5,are forever turned off and becomes totally digital before Winter Hill's ArqB multiplex on ch 55 increases strength from the present 12.5kw to a maximum 100kw.This is because Sutton Coldfield is still transmitting Mux D/soon to be renamed ArqB on ch 55 (relocating to ch 39 after DSO2) hence the clashing with Winter Hill Mux ArqB also on ch 55,until the second and last final stage switchover there on Wednesday 21 September 2011.

Richard. No,none of Winter Hill's Mux's will be briefly turned off after midnight, only the ArqB Mux will see its power increased soon after Sutton Coldfield's analogue transmissions is forever switched off in the early hours of Wednesday 21 September 2011,and only then soon after once their remaining 5 new multiplexes are switched on.This could be as early as 1am or as late as possibly 6pm when the ArqB mux on Winter Hill's ch 55 frequency is increased to maximum 100kw power.

I am still getting a very poor signal on C55 stations. Was that not intended to improve from early today?

I'm sure it used to say 28th September for the date of the power increase for ARQB. Unless I got the date wrong?
If it has changed, I guess 28th September must have been an unconfirmed date and was later confirmed with the new date of 21st September?
Does anyone know for sure?
