Mikescki: The website says "Over the next week Whitehawk Hill main transmitter: TV (analogue) Liable to interruption". It says it very clearly and lots of times.

I am aware that you can't broadcast whilst you are off air.. but there isn't any reason they could do it say "30 mins" or so before they go off air!

As not everyone knows about the down time.. etc

Sorry to be a bit argumentative but I read it as "No problems".
If this is the way "forward" then I don't see it as very satisfactory.
We loose Analgue in a few weeks time - so we are told - and then have no back-up when the Digital goes missing.
However, my main point is that the top of the information page says - "No Current Reported Problems" - when it is quite clear that they are off air and had been for many hours! This banner headline should be linked to reality.

mikescki: You don't "loose (sic) Analgue (sic) in a few weeks time", switchover is listed clearly at the top of the page:

Wednesday 21st March 2012

The current engineering work, which is replacing the transmitter arrays is in preparation for the digital switchover.

I don't know why the message at the top of the page has reverted to "no problems", I shall look into this.

Hi Brian,
Thanks for fixing the banner.
Maybe by the end of the week the eng work will all be sorted.
I can see that the switch date on this site says March 2012. That is different from the various ads around the Worthing area which are saying October 2011 -- hence my confusion. Perhaps it is another transmitter which is going.
Also, my apologies for not running the text through spellchecker ...

Mikescki: There are no switchovers in October 2011 - Switchover events September- December 2011 | ukfree.tv - independent free digital TV advice .

Not sure why you would see such adverts around Worthing, switchover from Rowridge is also Wednesday 21st March 2012...

Hi Brian,
Next time I am there I will try and photograph one. I do remember that it has the little robot character on it.
