Hi all,

Postcode: CT14 7BB
Aerial on roof: SatCure Freeview ONdigital TV Accessories Page masthead booster: Triax Wolsey WFAV425
Freeview through BT Vision box
Bought compass to target aerial at 212 deg for Dover transmitter.

Have tried advice here including (but not exclusively) resetting and Freeview reception has changed.

Brief history of problem:
For past year, several times a week at approx 7pm losing BBC 1&2 + other channels on that MUX for evening. Would return next morning without need for scanning. Root cause unknown. Weather?
Approx 3 months ago escalated to total loss of these channels for days at a time.
Upgraded aerial to that above on Thursday 30th June. 100% signal strength and 100% signal quality on >90% of channels ;o) All channels now present.

Came home Saturday 2nd July, no BBC 1&2 again ;o(

Reset following procedure here and still no luck ;o(

What else can I try?

thanks in advance.

Daz

Saturday 20th August between 8:55pm and 9:15pm interference culminating in all channels dropped and no signal. Signal returned and all channels viewed by 9:30pm.

Could not find any information on there having been problems on the Dover transmitter last night.

Does the company running this have any comments?

Ah, it did that one. Every time I have tried in the last few weeks it told me there was a fault. Never found out why.

I have recently installed a very large aerial with booster to get Dover here near Felixtowe, I like analogue! Whilst the signal is first class, normally, there are times it fades to almost nothing, then slowly returns, over a few hours, to how it was. Any ideas why it varies so much? I am also curious why C4 is weak. I could understand ITV being weak as it is out at ch 66, but C4 is mid group, along with BBC1/2

Nick: Please have a look at Freeview intermittent interference | ukfree.tv - independent free digital TV advice - but the problem is more likely transmissions from Holland causing problems.

Thanks Brian,
Still Holland? They are a pain, I thought now they were all digital it would have put an end to it.

Strange how C4 is almost always weakest, except the rare occasion it is stronger than ITV and BBC2!
