Is Winter Hill still having issues? I've got 2 Muxs missing, several re-tunes later and still no joy!

The transmitted message about retuning specifically said re-tune on the 10th, not before. Doing it before the changes were made was a complete waste of time on your part.

If you haven't got a signal retune to get the channels back.

If re-tuning doesn't work then you probably need to take the option to delete all existing channels and retune, this may mean resetting your device to default or initial values.

Re-tuning didn't work for me after several attempts. How do I delete and re-set ?

square eyes: If your tuner has a channel delete option you will need to delete all the channels for Mux BBCA and Mux ArqA from the channel list, then manual tune to C49 and C50 if possible or scan for channels. Otherwise it will be necessary to carry out a "factory reset" or "return to shipping conditions" or "first time installation". This will delete all information stored, including returning any adjustments you may have made to default settings. Then re-tune.

I removed all muxs and channels from mine and seem to have all muxs back now, apart from MEN, but not sure I ever got that anyway.

Now half of my channels are coming through as "un-named" and getting random channel numbers.

Think I'm going to leave it till later, or even tomorrow, see if things settle down. At work currently, but going to try taking my signal booster off as well, guess it could be pushing the signal too high now

Martin: Random channel numbers in the channel list on some receivers points to the LCN ordering option in the menu needing to be set to "enabled" If you have channels in the correct places with EPG info randomly absent and/or channels in the 800s this indicates reception from two or more transmitter sites. Usually receivers need to have the full set of channels from the same region stored to enable the channel list to populate correctly although there are a few recognised overlaps where the EPG information will work correctly for the additional services.

I cannot get any BBC Channels. Will these channels come back on later today, and if so,about what time. I've tried retuning, but the channels are still saying 'no signal'. Is this because engineers are currently working on the system until later?

Around the time Pissedoffcustomer was posting his rants I was patiently waiting for Winter Hill to carry out its work. What's two hours disruption when you want to get it right for the longer term?! Some channels went down for a while, yes, but they came back. No problem, but I appreciate this will not be the case for all.

With that in mind, I was in work for a few hours retuning my workplace's freeview boxes and TV's this morning - a care home.

Only one TV proved stubborn, it was picking up Welsh channels, possibly due to the connected aerial being slightly misaligned from Winter Hill.

Eventually got that TV to autotune all Mux's into their correct LCN position except the 8 channels at C59 (ITV, C4, C4+1 C5, ITV2, ITV+1, More4 and E4).

These ended up at 800 - 807, so moved these channels to their intended LCN's without too much fuss.

Does this mean that analogue TV with digi-box will no longer work because of this Winter Hill disruption? Can't tune box as TV has no channels at all
