Well, not long to go now before Bay TV Liverpool's official launch. Just found it on my EPG on Channel 8. When the other channels on UHF 56 from WH switched on, I was getting 100% Strength/100% Quality which I am still getting and was quite surprised to be able to receive them from my area and at such high strength/quality since although the power is much lower though the beam is much narrower, to still receive 56 from here and at very slightly stronger signal strength than the other channels from WH (around 93-96% Strength). Even at my parents house at LL13 9NQ can receive quite excellent signal strength.

Stuart Owens: All along the North Wales coast, the signal from the 2KW ERP local mux, from Winter Hill,is receivable with good signal strength and quality. It will be interesting to see if anyone who receives the Welsh transmitter's,report's that they have lost Channel Four at EPG location 8. Certainly with the re-tune on the 3rd September,2014,i am expecting some enquiries, from puzzled customer's.

David Roberts: As an experiment,i carried out Two re-tunes,on different receiver's,which had a Channel Four, located in EPG position 8. One displaced Channel Four into the 800's,placing BayTV Liverpool in position 8 and the other, placed Bay TV Liverpool in the 800's. So it seems there will be variations in EPG position for Bay TV Liverpool,on those receiver's that are receiving a Welsh Transmitter,as well as Winter Hill.

I'm curious - how accurate are the LL, LM and LPR plots on the main map?

Here in Horwich, although we are in Greater Manchester, we are getting the Liverpool LM mux loud and clear: (https://www.dropbox.com/s/gzr3twvnxnnhdft/Screenshot%202014-08-27%2023.07.36.png?dl=0)

According to the plots, we should have no signal whatsoever for LL, but should have some for LM.

We're no stranger to odd broadcast reception here: We cannot get Bolton FM (96.5FM) because someone had the bright idea to put it on the same frequency as Radio Wave which broadcasts at 200W from Blackpool tower, drowning out Bolton FM's 25W.

'My freeview list' for my postcode shows no entry for CH56, yet I am getting a signal almost as strong as some of the other more powerful muxes.

David Roberts: From your reply, it sounds like you think I live on the North Wales coast. I don't live along the North Wales coast. I am very inland and much further south compared to the likes of Holywell and Flint.

I think you both mean LL, not Liverpool LM. LL means Local Liverpool. LM means Local Manchester and LPR means Local Preston. So by saying 'Liverpool LM', you are saying 'Liverpool Local Manchester'.

Stuart Owens: Yes, of course. Maybe the Digital UK abreviations should really be used, so L-LIV for Liverpool and L-MAN and G-MAN for the Manchester muxes!
