Christine chadwick: Please see my post from yesterday and the transmitter engineering notice above your post. There is currently engineering work taking place at Olivers Mount until the end of this week.

Not all the TV channels returned last night, once the work is finished will you need to retune? We are in Cayton, south of the mast.

Keith P: Oh by the way - what work is happening? We only ask because when it rains the signal quality for many ITV & commercial channels reduces, so will this work improve the quality of the transmissions? We are aware Cayton is in a blind spot, but will this work do anything to help?

Keith P: There are no frequency changes taking place until late next year, so there is no need to retune when the work is complete. The exact nature of the work has not been published but could be related to the frequency changes that will take place across the country between the end of next year and mid 2020 (or it could be something else entirely). Poor reception when it's raining has nothing to do with the transmitter.

Colin Richardson: There are no faults showing and no one else is reporting a problem so it's more likely to be your aerial that has moved or been damaged by the storm.

StevensOnln1: Hi - I am experiencing serious dropout on the PSB1/BBCA Mux from the Bristol KingsWeston transmitter.

Wierd thing is that this is in the middle of the Mux frequencies and I don't have problems with the lower & higher frequencies. In fact the lowest frequency is apparently output at 20W but I have a signal strength of 69% but the BBC Mux outputs at 200W but I only have a signal strength of
48%

These are the signal strength readings I am currently seeing

Mux , Channel, MHz, Power, Strength, Quality
LBS, 30, 546.0, 20W, 69%, 100%
PSB2/D3+4, 40, 626.0, 200W, 70%, 100%
PSB1/BBCA, 43, 650.0, 200W, 48%, 100%
PSB3/BBCB, 46, 674.0, 200W, 66%, 100%
C0M4/SDN, 53, 730.0, 200W, 70%, 100%
COM5/ArqA, 57, 762.0, 200W, 50%, 100%
C0M6/ArqB, 60, 785.8, 200W, 55%, 100%

Noticed that the local MUX Ch56 is live from Olivers Mount, Scarborough. No stations show up on it yet but the Quality is 100% and Signal strength is 68%.
