Hi, I l;ive in the keighley area and i'm using windows media centre to get my freeview. Today 18/5/13 I seem to have lost most of my channels. usually getting 116 now there is only 48. also I'm having to retune every week as the signal seems to drop as if the frequency it being broadcast on has shifted. Is there a fault or work going on the are or do I need a new tv card?
thanks
Mr Neilson

Mr J D Neilson: You don't need a new card, but you do need to reset your Media Center.
Start up Media Center, choose "Tasks" then "Settings" then "General" and then "Windows Media Center Setup" followed by "Run Setup Again".
This won't clear your recordings, but it will force a full Freeview rescan.

Jeff: Try a manual scan of UHF channel 58. If this doesn't work with it in situ then take it to another room with an aerial outlet. Once you have the missin channel tuned then don't retune as the TV will give you the best picture (if any) for the signal that is going into it.
The aerial lead (from the wall socket to the TV) could be faulty so it is worth swapping it for another to see if it makes a difference.

My aerial is pointed at the Keighley transmitter but I still get the extra HD channels from Emley Moor in dry weather. Heavy rain and the signal breaks up.

Jerry: The HD services available from Keighley are those available from all transmitters: BBC One, BBC Two, BBC Three, CBBC, ITV and Channel 4.
The quasi-national HD services of BBC Four, CBeebies, BBC News and Al Jazeera won't be made available from Keighley before 2018 at the earliest. Unless you can pick them up from Emley Moor or Bilsdale Moor then you ain't gonna get 'em terrestrially.

Hi,
The Keighley Transmitter appears not to be transmitting on any channel. This is the same on 4 TV's and on two independent aerials. Can you please advise?
