Ray Hart: Of course they are joking! only serves 4.5 MILLION viewers, is monitored 24/7 LIVE remotely by Arqivas control room engineers, has multiple redundancy in equipment, feeds around 35 sites, all of which are operating normally, and yet YOU are the only person with a problem...

...so of course its the multi-million pound and not your cheap , crap coax or few hundred quid telly...in the middle of a storm...

There are NO problems with the transmitter. The most recent work was to the , not the Freeview one, and that was completed on 12th September.

Please check all your cables and connections. If there are any coaxial plugs/sockets then unplug those and refit them. That will clear any corrosion/oxidation from the conacts - a well known cause of problems such as you report.

You need to update: com7 and com8 moved to 55 and 56 ages ago. They are still broadcast at low (why?!) however so those of us far away from the TX have difficulties when the weather is bad or there's the wrong kind of snow.

The owner of this website is not available at present and he is the only one who can do the , as has been stated many times on this website.

COMs 7 & 8 are temporary and will not be increased in from any of the 30 main transmitters providing them. No other transmitters carry those services either. Sometime around 2022 it is expected that the programmes provides on those multiplexes will be transferred to other multiplexes and it is hoped they will become available on all, or most, transmitters from then.

John Hudson: PBS America has been broadcast on the COM8 mux from since the channel joined Freeview. Either you don't have a DVB-T2 tuner capable or receiving HD channels, you aren't within the coverage area or you're using an older grouped which isn't designed to receive the used by COM8. Do you receive the HD channels on 101-105? Please provide a full postcode so that we can see where you are in relation to the and your predicted coverage etc.

PBS America is available on from , that's the good news, the bad news is that it is broadcast on COM 8 which is not available to all viewers.

If you are able to receive BBC 1 HD on channel 101 that means your is capable of receiving COM 8, but sadly there is more bad news because both COM 7 & 8 are transmitted at a much lower than other channels and so sadly the areas in which you can receive them are limited. Also usually a widen
band aerial is required.

Before you think about getting a new aerial etc, remember that COM 7 & 8 are only temporary, by the end of 2022, i think it will be earlier, they will be switched off.

If you have no satellite signal, see Sky Digibox says 'No Signal' or 'Technical fault'

If you have other problems, please provide a full (not partial) postcode (or preferably enter it in box at the top right) and indicate where if aerial is on the roof, in the loft or elsewhere.
