steve: Local TV for Cardiff is transmitted from Wenvoe on C51, local TV for Bristol from Mendip, also on C51. At your location you appear to have robust signals from Mendip but reception from Wenvoe according to the DUK predictions looks to be somewhat iffy. This suggests that if there is any signal for Made in Cardiff reaching your aerial it is being drowned out by the Made in Bristol signal..There is certainly no prediction for Made in Cardiff being possible, even with poor reception!

We regularly lose signal in the early afternoon on all freeview channels. 3 days this week have been affected for up to 3 hours. When it returns most channels are suddenly ok again. did a reset twice yesterday afternnon with ''no signals found''. At 5 o clock 147 channels found. What is going on?

Chris Roberts: You're most likely suffering from electrical interference. Resetting won't fix it and is the worst thing to do as you are just deleting all of your channels and searching for them again. You need to look for electrical items which are in use in your own home (or that of a near neighbour) at the times that you loose signal.

Hi, I have a question about sky dish size that I need. I live in pontypool so what size of dish do I require for Freesat sat reception the smaller the better but not to compromise 100% reception. Thanks in advance. P

Roger Morgan:
The Pontypool relay transmitter has been listed for Planned Engineering the past week with "Possible service interruptions". That work we presume has been completed as it's not on this weeks list, but I don't think that's necessarily guaranteed based on recent experiences.
