Geoff Williamson: This is an independent website and no one on here has anything to do with operating any transmitters. I suspect you're referring to the COM7/COM8 channels, which are temporary multiplexes broadcast from 30 transmitters covering around 70% of UK households and are expected to close by 2022. Coverage will not be expanded to any further transmitters. Also, it is a not a good idea to post your full address online, a postcode is sufficient to access your coverage prediction.

Helen: There are no faults showing and no one else is reporting a problem, so the most likely explanation is that you have a problem with your aerial system. Have you checked for any loose or damaged cables or connections behind your TV? Please provide a full postcode so that we can see where you are in relation to the transmitter and your predicted coverage etc.

My self and neighbours all have had no signal this morning aound 0800 and 0900 all with aerials picking up from stockland. Neighbours with aerials picking up from Torbay have no problems. We are now getting problems on freeview channel 41 and linked channels at 1820. We are at EX8 4RR

Chris Alexander: I suspect you may be suffering with interference as the Digital UK checker shows that Beacon Hill would provide a stronger signal at your location, whereas Stockland Hill is shown to be OK on some multiplexes and variable on others. It looks like this is set to get worse when frequency changes occur at other transmitters next year, so you may well end up needing to have your aerial replaced with a wideband type pointed at Beacon Hill (you should be eligible to have this carried out free of charge after the frequency changes take place if you don't have satellite or cable and it causes you to loose reception).

I live in Willand and I am either not receiving a signal or a poor quality one on channel 22 and 23 e.g. Dave, 5 USA... BBC was poor on Saturday. It is either atmospherics or there is comething wrong with the transmitter I would suggest

Jane Bruce:

There are no reported problems at the transmiiter else many thousands would also be reporting such. So you could either have a fault in your aerial cables or connections, else be suffering from atmospheric conditions causing reception problems. There is nothing you can do about thet so DO NOT RETUNE. Please give a full post code so that we can check the expected reception conditions at your location.

Dear Sirs,I am writing to you as several people in our village have lost all programs ,from the stockland Transmitter .I signal came and went as a thunder storm was approaching around 14.00. I now find that I have no signal to any of my Tv's. If it is any help ,the strength on one Tv is between 4-7. I see from one site that some Maintenance might be carried out ,but appeared to at night. We have had no signal now for 4 hours. Other members of our Village feel that the time appears to be due to the lighting and not maintenance.

Thanking you for your help in this matter ,Kind regards Peter Draper

Peter Draper: Engineering work rarely takes place overnight, particularly during bad weather. Have you checked for any loose or damaged cables or connections behind your TV? Is the aerial still pointing in the same direction as those on neighbouring properties? Please provide a full postcode so that we can see your predicted signal strength and where you are in relation to the transmitter etc.

I live at EX9 6LE. Signals from Stockland Hill are regularly very weak for BBC channels. At present the bit error rate is 2000 RED, and signal history shows this to be a regular situation. Why is it ONLY BBC channels? Is any improvement likely in this millenium?
