Hi
We lost all of Mux 2 & A tonight at about 10.30. It was there one minute,gone the next on the whole lot. No pixilation like when there is bad weather. Other Muxs are fine. Any ideas?

I had a loss of signal yesterday on my new digital tv just after 2pm,it pixelated and and this was followed by an on screen text, saying that i had lost my digital signal. I re tuned completely,which took longer than usual, and it appears that it has given me now an analogue signal. I had been watching BBC 1 at the time.Will i have to re tune again please ? .

I've just moved into a new flat and there is a communal aerial. While I have no direct control over the aerial, I have very good reception on the Freeview stations I receive, but I cannot understand why I don't get ITV1, Channel 4 and Channel 5 as digital stations. I also cannot receive other important didital stations such as ITV4, Film 4, More4 and Yesteryear. I am not indignant about this, but I would appreciate a rational explanation and some news of when the situation will improve.

You should be on the Tonbridge Wells transmitter, this could be why. Also, if the communal system has channel filters to prevent interference, they could be blocking the signal. Do you get MUX 1 eg the bbc channels.

I have a freeview record box (Humax) and have it set to Blue Bell Hill. I live in Sittingbourne and I get all channels and good reception. However I am unable to pick up the auto signal from the transmitter to use link recording etc. If I tune to Anglia it works fine link recording but the picture quality is obviously appaling.
Checking the signal strength on Anglia is 60% and BB Hill is 100%. Quality on Anglia is down to 10% and on BB Hill 90%.
Can anyone tell me why this is please.

Can anyone suggest the best resolution for the following problem from a friend and ex-colleague who lives in a notoriously poor reception area for the Bluebell Hill transmitter ME2 1LU .
The household doesnt watch a great deal of TV but both halves of the semi detached bungalows had their aerials upgraded (same firm, same time, same aerials etc. on opposite corners of the same chimney) about 18 months ago. When installed (during wintertime) there were no problems, but whilst the neighbour is still watching (though with the occasional dropouts) last summer there were problems for my friend as BBC signals by which I assume Mux 1 and the favourite channels in the household - deteriorated to the point of being unwatchable. This summer the complaint has been that the BBC had disappeared and when I went to investigate this afternoon I found that Mux 1 is completely failing to register when the TV (straight off the aerial) does an auto-scan. (The same happened to the Freeview box I took with me, so I assume that it must be aerial problems.)
My little knowledge further assumes t his is mainly to do with the trees and the hill/ridge behind the bungalows which block direct line of sight to Bluebell Hill, though given the closeness of the aerials on the chimney I find it difficult to fathom. Could the very slight difference in the angles of the aerials on their separate poles really make that much difference?
If I read correctly the power of the Mux will not be increased on switchover, so there would seem to be little hope of a resolution there
Some of the other aerials in the street point at Crystal Palace so should my friend turn the aerial around or would Freesat be another possible answer (though that hill/ridge is close and to the East and South so I guess the dish would have to be on a pole too.).
Any thoughts/suggestions appreciated.
