Ditto no signal at TR11 5GG (Falmouth). Similar to problem on 4 Sept. Maybe interference from France?

Am constantly re-tuning and have just received France HD (and only five other HDs - normally get 139 channels in all) so you could be right! They all disappear very quickly though.

It is possible that, to reduce mutual interference between transmitters, effective radiated power is experimentally being reduced or radiation patterns modified to reduce signal strength in some directions. But they are unlikely to inform us... If observations vary, high-pressure is another factor that can affect interference from more distant transmitters, which will disappear again under low atmospheric pressure. This is frequently the case near Woolacombe.

The Parracombe self help transposer no longer exists, the residents decided not to bother to upgrade it for dso and it closed when Caradon went dso. Also on Huntshaw Cross the North Molton transposer no longer exists, residents not prepared to pay the upkeep costs.

Are channels 31 & 37 working on Caradon Hill? I can now receive BBC3 with no problem but, no signal at all on the new channels after both an auto scan and a manual set up.

Alan: No, they don't come on air until some time next year.

Mervyn Mugford :-
Thanks for the confirmation, Mervyn.
Our Self-Help was crushed by CCI from Carmel. The village committee, guided by one techno-nerd..., supported most permanent residents to set up a satellite dish on their own or on anearby friendly neighbour's property.
Sadly, we have little hope of seeing shiny fibre in this life or the next to implement greater than our current 1MB/s "narrowband".... BUT we do have nice views...
