Are there freeview reception output problems in the Petts Wood area near Bromley postcode BR5 1DT today. I lost all signal about 8am on 28/2/18 and it's very hit and miss on getting certain channels now. Can't get BBC1/2 or any HD channels at all.

Tony: There are no faults showing for Crystal Palace (as it serves most of London there would be hundreds of complaints if there was a fault). Start by checking for any loose or damaged cables or connections behind your TV and anywhere along the cable towards the aerial that you can safely access. Do not attempt to retune as this will just delete your channels and search for them again (retuning will never fix a loss of signal as the TV is already correctly tuned).

Are Coms 7 & 8 ceasing to transit at the end of March 2018? It would seem I have already lost them.

Mark: COM7 & COM8 are not closing at the end of March. According to Digital UK they move to new frequencies (UHF channels 55 & 56) at Crystal Palace on 21st March. The local mux also moves to UHF channel 35 on the same date.

Michael: I had some missing channels when I first tried before 9am this morning, but a rescan at lunchtime has restored them, so perhaps the alterations had not been completed when you tried?
But the basic problem is that multiplexes Com7 and Com8 have been moved into the upper reaches of band 5, which is way outside the design range of Group A aerials, which most people receiving from CP will probably have. I don't know what they were thinking of! I don't suppose the helpline has been resourced to provide new wideband aerials for all those customers affected, but that is what is probably needed.

Michael:
I am having the same loss of stations as yourself. Keep it Country is another one on the "lost" list. I am in Tadworth (KT20). I was under the impression that these stations were moving to channels 55 and 56. I have these channels are there is no signal at all from either. I was wondering if perhaps the changeover hasn't been completed or the aerial which is an A group and was the correct aerial for the channels is no longer suitable as A group is channels 21-33 and channels 55 and 56 are way off course frequency wise. Not very happy. The channels changes are apparently to do with the release of channels at the high frequency end for mobile phones, but Crystal Palace does (or did) use the lowest frequency end so I cannot understand why it's being changed

i don't know what aerial type i have,it was put up a few years ago now on the suggestion of the erector
as Reigate Hill although only a mile or so as the crow flies is shielded from me,
i must say it's done good service so if i have to get another aerial fitted then i guess that's what i'll do.
I have tried a couple of rescans but i'm getting virtually no signal on ch 55 or 56,
it's the loss of London live that's really annoyed me,if the info i've seen is correct the local service should have moved to c35 which i would have thought should still be available to me.

Malcolm Dixon: You appear to be aware of the Freeview Advice Line, but have you actually tried contacting them?

Roger Scott & Michael: If you can't restore the missing channels by manual tuning then you should contact the Freeview Advice Line (see link below) who should be able to arrange for a replacement aerial to be fitted (free of charge if you don't have satellite or cable).

Thanks StevensOnln1
unfortunately i don't think i qualify for a freebe aerial as i also have Freesat,
mind you as far i can see London Live isn't a channel that's available unless you have Sky and a card.
