yep same problem with the blue screen asking to retune mine is also the bush model all day ive had this now atm the blue screen has not come up for about 10 mins so im saying this is progress what i done was as follows.

1. pressed ok for the retune but then press exit before it started to retune giving me the no channels option.

2. I then unplugged the set top box for 30 seconds

3. started it back up and done a factory retune for the first time.

4. i was then asked to retune again pressed ok.

5. finished installation so far so good.

AD: If you can receive the main PSB muxes OK, namely BBC1 - ITV1 - HD service then that doesn't require checking, but to check if you have received each of the three commercial muxes try a test by selecting (and viewing) each of these programme channel numbers in turn: 10 ITV3 - 11 Pick TV - 12 Yesterday, and if you can then its liable to indicate all is OK.

You can of course receive these three from Hannington, but by them being indicated on the predictor as "poor" its unlikely that they would be at a viewable level.

I did the retune this morning and found I was getting no signal from BBC1, BBC2, BBC3 (no caption), BBC News. I retuned another couple of times to no avail.

I contacted Sony and when I eventually got through, she took me through a factory reset and it all seems to be working okay now.

On a slightly different subject, I notice I am now receiving 129 channels, previously 115. Anybody know what the extra 14 are - a quick glance on the EPG and I can't identify them.

Big Mart: I suspect that the 14 comes from the BBC duplicates that exist inbetween the two stages of switchover.

Prior to switchover BBC Four, CBeebies, BBC Parliament and BBC radio are on Mux B but move to the main BBC standard definition mux at switchover. This is the one you have now, along with the pre-switchover Mux B.

AD: I had also meant to add, that the procedure you used of having performed a factory reset prior to carrying out a re-tune is always the best, as it guarantees that no remnants from a previous scan will be lurking about in the EPG memory to cause problems, such as previously stored channels being lost during night time switch off and caused by the tuners memory capacity having being exceeded.

Ray, you're a star! Just followed your procedure and and my Mother's Bush BU11FVZS2 box is no longer driving her mad with the constant re-tune required message, and I can finally get off the phone!
Many thanks.

RE earlier comment @7.38.

I have loft aerial and have been having signal problems on and off for a while now. Signal will just disapper in the middle of a tv program and then come back. Live in essex.
