I am currently investigating Freeview. From what I have seen so far, my postcode of LN1 1LB received the best reception from Emley Moor.
I am also looking at purchasing a set top box and am hoping to get one with 'Freeview Play'.
However, the specs on the boxes I am looking at are saying that Freeview Play may not yet be available from local transmitters, so I am writing to ask whether it is available from Emley Moor at this time, and, if not, when it will be.
Many thanks for your help.

Imogen Arnold: Reception in your area is possible from both Emley Moor (@ 52mls) and Waltham (@ 31mls), aerials in your locality seen to be facing in the direction of both stations, the one chosen as providing the best signal being determined by the installer at the time of installation.
However, before dwelling on the type of box referred to, i.e: Freeview Play, you should have a read at the info provided in the undermentioned link.
Don't buy a Freeview Play box until you've read these five facts | Alphr

Emley Moor HD 101 BBC1 On some programs I get the occasional breakups, my TV Signal report shows no bit errors, max signal strength, max quality.
SD is ok and the TV built in Freesat on BBC1 HD is ok.
I'm thinking my aerial is ok from above can there be a fault at EM transmitter?

David: The clue is 'max strength' - should be nearer 75%, hence the breakup.

Ok on present program no break up, will see what 6 pm News brings.
I have some 3 and 6 db I can add, do not want to over do it not wanting to loose weak stations such as Ch 8 Local Leeds.
Thanks

hello.freinds.@the.tower? i seem to have had the technincal data taken out of my pages whilst online / please could you forward me them again please and send me the html string irequestet for my youtube project i thaught this may be better than putting grid/refs through an html viewer app /? by .now im sure from my last feedback im by now almost about finnished installing the chnnenl i want on accessabillity to youtube app tv viewers i have to scruitinise channells for youtube tv on the best of youtube so we dont get lets say 10yr olds viewing porn ext in the middle of the day/as this may loose me my licence from bbc north.however seems that one vid landed in the app and as i hav google tools & youtube tv main tools it seams aparrent that other people can sneek vids in ?ive rectified the matter /also sir/maam/mrs/mr /? the choice to put bbc chns in a youtube apk so that people can choose wat they want to watch using the set ch installment as catagorisation so parents can moniter what children see i think tha extreme contravertial things like explicit video s should ha a template installed for a sighning page/ for the details to be installed for access /as i have license criteria to maintain from the bbc to respect i dont want to deprive th adults the use of these channels at the same time //?and last but not least sir/maam/the issue about bbc tv use public sector fees/? i took some considerable time on this ? as technically it would be youtube tv based tv the public customers are viewin and not the bbc/and i leave ? you @ bbc.tv to make either a finantial /or mutual decision .in this .!. and i as a fellow country man will exersiee my given licence accordingly to ensur e i can renew at the end of the terms and agreement expiry date // thankyou .il keep you posted. take care mr darren roughley WF9-4SA 19.CRAVEN ROAD .HEMSWORTH/ PS. id hate to see the tower painted white whith google written down the side..lol

They seem to think it a good move from 8 t0 7, very strange as they will loose viewers ( if they have any :-) ) who maybe do not retune should they have to.
Have been to Freeview web site to find things out but failed, also in this modern age you would think they would have e-mail contact but seem not to, if they were a subscription organisation they would fail through bad communication, just saying.
