Please help.I have now had 2 independent aerial/t.v. engineers and also under the government scheme 'switchover help scheme' visit me here at my home, with regards to the digital switch over at Hannington.The government help scheme pro
vided a new aerial in my loft.To cut a long story, I have 4 'in built digital t.v.s' 3 are new at Christmas and are flat screen and the fourth is 5 years old of the larger model type.
Everyone has checked the aerial output/coax and splitter box in the loft, if anything the signal was too strong, this was 'dampend'to try to resolve my problem, which is bizzarely! one side of my house recieves t.v. from the Crystal Palace transmitter(and any t.v.s installed on that side of the house work fine)any t.v.s installed on the other side of the house recieve from Hannington, and do not work at all(pixeled picture or no transmittion)Please anyone any ideas? At the moment we are all living one side of the house if we want to watch t.v.!

We cannot get any BBC on our digital TV 3 sets in total ,all we get is NO SIGNAL
The aerial is on the roof at the back of the house and it is not an old one.

Have you retuned your TV today? I'm assuming that you receive from Rowridge rather than Hannington. Rowridge started switchover today, and therefore BBC digital channels have moved frequency and therefore a retune is required. A further retune will be required on 28th March when all other channels move.

Prior to and since switchover, all freeview channels have worked well from Hannington but in the last 3 days Com 5 and Com 6 are playing up. When watching 'Dave' for example, the picture can freeze or break up or vanish completely. All other channels continue to work well. Any thoughts on what may be the problem ?

I am on the boundary between Hannington and Crystal Palace. My aerial is pointing at CP but I occasionally like to watch BBC South for local news.
Immediately after Hannington digital switchover, I was able to get BBC South (on LCN 800) by doing a manual search on C45. Despite my aerial pointing the wrong way, signal strength and quality was good and digital dropouts comparatively rare. From memory, the last time I successfully watched BBC South was last Saturday, 10th March.
Suddenly it's gone. Tried to watch BBC South this week and two separate digiboxes (same aerial) both report "bad/no signal". I tried to repeat the manual retune on C45. Signal strength is around 60% but quality is non existent (0 or 10%). Both boxes now report no channels found on C45. What's changed? Has Hannington made any changes in the last coupld of days or is it a fault in my aerial... or was I just lucky before?

I live in London but as I am at the bottom of a hill I cannot pick up Crystal Palace transmitter. For the last 20 years my aerial has picked up Hanington with no problem. I carried out the digital switchover in Feb with no problem. But in the last two days the picture going through my video recorder is breaking up for ITV and all the other stations on that mux. I have checked the channel number and it is correct for Hanington ie Channel 42. Any idea what the problem is

i believe the hannington transmitter is running on l,ow power a sit is affecting the guildford transmitter..you will need to wait till the 4th april for improvement

trevor: The Commercial multiplexes are at low power and restricted in the general direction of Guildford due to being co-channel with some of its services. The Public Service multiplexes are not.
