I live in a block of flats in Slough. I should pick up BBC London from Crystal Palace but my roof aerial is pointed towards Hannington, so therefore I get BBC South. Would it be worth retuning my Humax HDR-T2-Fox manually to CP or just stick with reception from Hannington?

Andrew Tegala: I don't understand the question.
If your aerial points to Hannington then it has been installed to pick up signals from Hannington. If you "should" do anything, then surely you should use your aerial as it was designed.
If you would prefer to watch London programming then clearly you would have to consult with the person or body responsible for the aerial system although it would mean that everyone else in the block will also have change their regional programming unless a second aerial is fitted in order to give viewers choice.

Andrew Tegala: As Dave says, there might be a reason why it's pointing towards Hannington, but it seems like you should get a signal from both - you could also try manual retuning into the Crystal Palace channel numbers (UHF 23/26 would give you the London BBC/ITV1 regional services).

Update FYI - it turned out to be my old analogue DVD recorder which has the antenna cable pass in to and out of if. Interestingly, it's never powered up, so I assume there's some very, very simple cabling going on inside there that's failed. Adept Aerials found it in minutes, and confirmed my signal was more than good enough for Freeview HD, so now I have no excuse not to buy a replacemnt PVR :^)

Without your postcode it's impossible to even start with any advice. You could be tuned to the wrong transmitter, you may have an aerial or cable problem. Don't know if you have an aerial amplifier, how many sockets does it feed? Is the problems the same on all TV's or from all the sockets? etc etc.

Chris as i said above it has been happening to my neighbors too and the signal seems to be perfectly fine now i figured out the problem it was to do with other neighbors were having electrical works done and it was interfering with the signal but now im getting perfect signal from Hannington so its all fine but thanks anyway.
