I really would value some help. I visited the website but I must admit that I understand little. Sorry about that, so I ask for help.
I bought a reasonable qulaity TV recently but have encountered a problem. My signal source is Terristral Freeview (Chimeney aerial) from a mast in Bedmond (Hemel Hempstead).
I had not realised tha lack of HD signals. The one that matters to me is BBC News (231) as that is the one that I try to watch most. It is in SD and hard to watch.
So, my qestion is when will this transmitter provide HD?
Mike.
PS I cann't afford to switch to cable.

Mike Hahn: Every transmitter in the UK (over 1000+ of them) broadcasts HD channels. BBC News HD is on the temporary COM7 multiplex which is available (along with COM8) from 30 main transmitters covering around 70% of UK households and will not be added to any further transmitters and is expected to close in 2022. Depending on your exact location (please provide a full postcode) you may be able to receive COM7 from another transmitter (e.g. Crystal Palace). Alternatively BBC News HD (and all of the BBC's other HD channels) are available free to air on satellite, or online via iPlayer.
