I have no itv reception. aerial is in the room near tv, We watch through a freeview recorder box,Can get all the bbc channels but itv stopped yesterday.no signal keeps coming up on the screen then it goes away. It did this when we first went digital then it stopped and now comes back

Any idea who is likely to have tuner overload from the increase in power? I live across the hill from Keighley and have a log periodic in my loft, I wonder if we should all be getting some attenuators ready just in case

Colin Jones: It is almost impossible to say. If you have full power signal now and a large aerial and a booster then it is possible you will have problems.
Rooftop aerials are less likely to cause problems as they have an excellent signal to noise ratio, but not if they are oversized.

Well, following the switchover we seem to have all the channels but on Wednesday night while we were watching 'Who do you think you are' on the DVB TV, the picture kept breaking up, as did BBC2 but not ITV. When we switched to the DVD player, which has Freeview, there was no problem, the picture was fine. Any suggestions as to why this was happening?

I have Sony Bravia with free view hd built in. Since switchover on Wednesday all channels fine and it has found the HD channels. When I go to the HD channels however, they are all blocky and I can't see anything. My signal strength is 100% and quality is 100%. someone said my strength is too strong so bought an attenuators to reduce the strength but this not rectified the problem. I have retuned numerous times and also done a factory reset on my tv to no avail. Help please!!!

Thanks for that Briantist
Things seem to have settled down ... we got all the channels no problem but same time each night the signal broke up when we were watching BBC1 or 2 on the TV Freeview but not when we watched through the DVD Freeview. Now even that seems to have eased.
