StevensOnln1: Problem fixed turned out to be the incoming aerial connection in conjunction with the booster. Booster removed and end connection remade and connected direct to the PVR and TV.

We have no digital reception (freeview) -- talked to neighbours and they don't either.
Please let me know what is happening and when we might receive transmission again.

Pat Fawley: There is engineering work currently taking place at the Lancaster transmitter. Do not attempt to retune. It is not a good idea to post your phone number online, as no contributors to this unofficial website will call you and you are just inviting unwanted telesales and other nuisance callers.

Jeff:
TBN have had the channel moved to the PSB3/BBCB HD multiplex. Unless your receiver has an HD / T2 tuner (DVB-T2) then you won't receive it. Do you get any of the other HD channels?

Hi Freeview,
Will we ever get channel 52 in Lancster

William Wilding: Freeview LCN 52 is RTE One (Ireland's closest equivalent to BBC One), which is only broadcast on Freeview in Northern Ireland and is very unlikely to ever be broadcast from any transmitter in England, Wales or Scotland.
If you actually meant a different channel, please let us know the name of the channel you are asking about.

William Wilding:
Channel 50 is Sony Movies Classic if that's the one you mean. Over a year ago Sony reorganised the multiplexes that a lot of their channels were broadcast on, no doubt for commercial reasons. This particular one, is one of quite a few which are on Local multiplexes.
The Lancaster transmitter does not have a Local multiplex, these are generally only in areas and centres of large populations - large cities and maybe some towns.
For which channels are on which multiplexes, see Channel listings | Freeview
Considering the idea of Local multiplexes was primarily for a Local channel covering Local News and Events etc (LCN7 in the EPG) plus a small handful of other channels and the fact that most of these local stations have not been at all successful, most having cut local news broadcasts to a matter of hours a day, it's highly unlikely that considering the cost (never mind free UHF channels space), that any more would ever be set up.
So the short answer to your question is No, this is not likely.
You may be able to watch online (depending on your internet connect as well), visit Sony Movies UK |
I believe Sony are changing the channel to Sony Movies Christmas on the 10th September. Similar changes do tend to happen each year for the Xmas period.
