Jean Paskell: Hi, Jean. There are no faults on the Malvern transmitter at present and so there must be a fault in your own installation somewhere. It's just a case of finding it! Richard, Norwich.

Hello all, I'm afraid I've got myself in a muddle trying to understand multiplexes etc. Just wanted to check - my understanding is that I will NOT be able to receive the extra BBC channels covering the Olympics via the Malvern transmitter - could someone please confirm? Many thanks

MarkDubya: Hi, Mark. You are correct that the Malvern transmitter, whilst classed as 'Full Freeview', does not actually transmit the multiplex called 'COM7', which is the multiplex which carries the additional Freeview HD channels. For a COM7 transmitter, you would need to get Sutton Coldfield, which I'm assuming is not possible from your location, which is why you are on Malvern? Richard, Norwich.

Good question !!
I can't find any way of directly reporting a fault to the TX operators.
I've just tried the channels again and did briefly receive ITV SD but then it froze so is obviously a very weak signal.
So please, if someone technical sees this can they investigate please.
I use these channels becaust the tuner in my TV is nod HD.
