Our Freeview service is delivered by the Mendip Transmitter. Since early this week we have not been able the receive any BBC channels. All other channels are of good reception with a strong signal.
Is there any service work being undertaken on the transmitter that would affect BBC only or do we have set or ariel problem.
We have reset the TV several times but to no avail.

We recieve Freeview from the Mendip Transmitter.
Since early this week we have not been able to recieve any BBC channels. All other channels are of a good and strong signal. We have reset the TV several times and only recieve 73 channels as opposed to the normal 93+.
Can you tell me of any service work on the transmitter that would affect this.

Ian Jones: I've already answered your question!! There is ongoing works at Mendip.
In such circumstances resetting and retuning is a waste of time and is only likely to result in a negative or neutral outcome, never a positive!

Thank you for your response. I apologise for asking the same thing twice but I lost my link at the end of my email and did know for sure it had been sent.
Can you tell me please how long the scheduled work is expected.

Ian Jones: I'm going on the information provided by Digital UK and therefore cannot say further. The Digital UK site gives information on a weekly basis. Exact times of low power and outages can't be given as these things are done as and when they are needed during the works for technical and safety reasons.

Hi
I note that on this WEB site there are now no reported current problems are shown for the Mendip Transmitter. Since the 28th we have not recieved any BBC services whereas every other channel has a strong and perfect signal. We appreciate there were works upto last week. We have reset the TV without ariel connection and subsequently with. Still no BBC - can you please advise.
