Hi Mendip,
We have just had a new High Gain Aerial fitted to our amplified communal system for Freeview Digital TV at Brackendale in Faringdon near Swindon. It was OK on my brand new built in Digi Freeview TV to start with but now for the past 10 days many channels have dropped out, also giving No Signal Messages and other channels Pixillating (breaking up). I have rescanned many times but still get poor reception on a lot of channels at various times of day. What is causing these bad
transmissions? Please Respond.
Kind Regards.
J. Smith.

At Thurlbear TA3 5AX, I have been told that the best signal is from the Mendip Transmitter, but the coverage map shows green for my address. How can I find a better transmitter?

E.V. Clutcher.: The transmissions are just fine and operating quite normally. I would suggest you contact whoever it was that installed your "communal system" and require them to make it work properly.

Charles Pochin: Put the postcode into the box at the top right and it shows you are in the yellow area for Mendip.
You can also get signals from Wenvoe, but I would suspect you would prefer the English services.

Anyone else having epg guideplus problems today as both my Panasonic plasma TV and Blueray DVD recorder has missing epg data, and i am finding programes are not recording etc, signal is perfect and retuning makes no difference.

@Charles Pochin: I am just down the road from you and I receive Mendip with 100% quality on all Muxes. Stockland Hill is nearer, but there are hills in the way and it is only a relay station. I can also pick up signals from the Wenvoe transmitter.

Bizman: Stockland Hill is certainly not a "relay station", it is a full service, full power Freeview transmitter.
