Dennis West: You did run a retune your TV/freeview box/recorder after 6am on Wednesday didn't you ? The multiplex that carries ITV3 (SDN) moved from UHF Channel 62 to UHF Channel 50 to allow for 4g mobile phone. The best method is to do a factory reset on your TV then retune from scratch. In fact if anything ITV3 now seems to have a slightly better signal than it did before.

On equipment which allows manual retuning, I manually tuned to UHF channel 50 and stored the search results. This avoids the problem of accidentally tuning to an unwanted transmitters.

From the wilds of the Cotswold hills near Norhleach the Oxford retune worked perfectly.
Can we hope that this is the last time we will have to retune our sets?
Algy.

Dennis West: do a scan with the aerial unplugged and when it finds nothing so a full scan again.

Dennis West: As stated to you above, and to others, if you are using a communal aerial system, it may require adjustment. For this you will have to get in touch with the party responsible.
Your postcode resolves to a large block of flats which suggests that you may not be using your own aerial.

jb38: Reporting back after 29th as requested! Have only just retuned as have been away. All channels seem fine, and I appear to have all channels that I should have, both upstairs and down.

I live in apartment of 62 others with common aerial. Cannot receive Ch20 ITV3, can receive Chs1-9 & 11-20 all O.K.
TV eng informs me that this is the same all over Brackley. What can be done and what is the reason for this fault.

You need to do a manual return to UHF channel 50 or a full retune.
This is true for anyone using the Oxford transmitter. Brackley is no different from anywhere else.
