Colin Freemantle - Your suggestion of pointing to Mendip is not really the answer, unfortunately. I live in a block of flats, that has a communal dish on the roof. The answer is to get someone to admit a fault and fix it. Oxford Transmitter has always fed into where I live.

Have had interrupted freeview for a couple/three days now. I have followed all the reset procedures etc, showing occasional good signal strength on (frequent) retuning (showing good signal quality on some) - but even those showing good signal strength are dipping in and out.
There is a note on the main (ukfree.tv) Mendip transmitter page saying:
"MENDIP transmitter - Over the next week Mendip main transmitter: TV (digital) Liable to interruption, no analogue radio, Radio (digital) working normally." - but it is undated, and I don't know if it is new or has been there for some time.
Non-technical person here, so any news - particularly from anyone running things at Mendip transmitter - would be welcome.

I have been having problems with varying channels over the last week similar to all the posts above, but as others some channels are perfect & not always when we have fog or bad weather & then instantly perfect so it must be the transmitter ! Why does it always state no problems with Oxford transmitter when so many of us are having issues, please own up & sort out the problem.

Intermittent signal loss on Oxford at Chedworth GL54 4AB for 4 or 5 days now. All MUX and day and night. Thanks but no thanks for Saturdays night's German stations.

Another one from Highworth.
Signal on all channels seems worse now than before the switchover. Not just C59 and C60, so not sure about the 4G thing.
We still have the old booster on, not sure if thats really still required now. Been going on for months now.

I give up with freeview!!! am going with freesat when i can afford it.. All day and evening NO subtitles on ITV stations at all But on london areial i get subtitles on ITV stations fine no problem... so whats going on on oxford? this affect ALL freeview boxes and 2 tv's

put in your post code and house name and it gives
details of the likely transmitters, my nearest being Oxford. Within the list of channels it gives 2 dates
"today's date" and Dec 2013. Changes being shown from December, basically it tells me my signals will get worse!

Amongst many suggestions they want to move DTV to new frequencies....YES move it all!
I have responded to their survey and I recommend everyone here does so as well.
