I use a log 40 £20-25 with an amplifier as i'm 58 miles away from the wrekin but i think you could get away with just the aerial as i think the aerial you have is not performing well on UHF CH 53/57.

You could try moving the aerial up or down 6" at a time if possible to see if you can improve UHF CH 53.

Paul: You are not currently expected to receive C53 or C57. After the September frequency change and power increase The Wrekin is predicted as giving the best reception for all six muxes at your location. At present Brierly Hill is shown as offering six muxes and Ridge Hill too is another possibility.

My aerial is in the loft, it has been upgraded recently but I do not seem to get a lot of the freeview channels such as 11 upwards. But my neighbours do ?
Any suggestions would be most appreciated.
Thank you.

Colin J - Are the neighbours ae also in lofts? If so, maybe you pointing wrong; cable fault, or less sensitive tuner.

Can you try your tuner next door and see if it does better?

Hi Steve,
Thank for that..Had an aerial upgrade by the switchover team, reception has been poor ever since. Aerial is in the loft and so is my neighbours. Checked another tv and box, but the problems are still the same. Im only 4.5 miles from Wrekin Transmitter. Im thinking its the aerial thats causing the problem. Never had problems before the upgrade. Yes tried tuner next door, works fine there.

Colin - do you mean the free/£40 thing for disabled/older viewers? If so, gat them back to do a proper job.

If they are frightened to go on the roof (ours were!) you get Freesat instead, for same price. I'm a convert.

And if not them; whoever did it needs to fixit.

That said, you are so close to the transmitter that your problem may, oddly, be too strong a signal!

Have you got a built in loop? Or try an unshielded wire into the middle hole.

Wolfbane ios very conservative, and thinks you need only a set-top. Unless you are in a dip; behind an obstacle, etc.?

Thank you Steve,
I appreciate your advice very much. Yes it was the Gov Help Scheme who did the job, they have had Engineers back here 5 times so far, they are due back again Monday but I had to fight to get them to send anyone out.
They fitted a booster and an attenuator at back of my tv, then the next Engineer removed them. They fitted a broken aerial in my loft too [no reflectors on it ] thats now been replaced, but I think it needs realigning ?

jordan: You may have to wait for the full power service (September 2011) from the ArqA multiplex, but also see Single frequency interference | ukfree.tv - independent free digital TV advice .

What do I need to do to get all the channels,(I can't put a booster in the loft but could possibly put something in the room the tv is in
