John J:
It appears that the listing above is far from accurate. Some transmitter pages are currently giving the final 2020 channels as current, but this one is all over the place. At present, the best place to get correct channel information is Digital UK - Coverage checker and put in your postcode to list available transmitters.
Current channels are BBCA 50, D3&4 59, BBCB 54-, SDN(COM4) 58, ARQA(COM5) 49, ARQB(COM6) 37, COM7 55, COM8 31, various Local muxes on 56, 21, 40 (if you are close enough to the transmitter).
Retune events are due in the Q4 2019 for one local mux UHF56 to UHF24, others events are in Q1 2020 BBCA to UHF32 & COM8 to UHF56, and in Q2 2020 D3&4 to UHF34, BBCB to UHF35, SDN(COM4) to UHF29 & ARQA to UHF31.
So the final UHF channels in 2020 will be 32, 34, 35, 29, 31, 37, 55, 56 and local muxes 24, 21, 40. If you don't have a wideband or T band aerial, if you aren't getting satisfactory reception on the lower UHF channels you may need to change it.

Nev Jack: the high pressure new year week certainly caused some havoc with my TV retuning itself nearly every day to either the Wrekin or moel y parc for BBC and ITV where it could as some channels just too weak...the winter hill "rejects" ended up in the 800s section on my tv. luckily the HD channels stayed ensitu...seems to have settled down now, although there is a new high pressure predicted for this weds....

Please check all your aerial cables and connections. Unplug all coaxial plugs/sockets and refit. Then check the reception but DO NOT RETUNE.
It could be a poor connection or it might just be the current atmospherics.

At the end of last year I had problems with reception on my bedroom tv, the signal was being fed from a splitter on the main outdoor aerial, it had been perfect for many years.
I got the professionals in who advised a separate outdoor aerial for the bedroom tv. I got it fitted and the picture was perfect again. However, I am still unable to receive a number of channels including the 'Yesterday' channel, channel 19, that are together in group (channel) 37.
I have re-tuned a number of times without any luck whatsoever.
I purchased a signal booster and that has made no difference at all.
I should say that my main tv in the livingroom receives perfect picture and sound of all channels including 'Yesterday', channel 19.
I would appreciate any help.

Andrew Jamieson: What signal strength and quality readings do you get for Yesterday on your main TV? What signal strength and quality do you get for other commercial channels such as Dave or Drama? Please provide a full postcode so that we can see where you are in relation to the transmitter and your predicted coverage etc. Also, can you confirm that the separate aerial for your bedroom TV is mounted on the roof or in the loft, or is it a set top aerial?

A wideband aerial is always advised these days. That will be able to receive all current and future transmissions.

I'm a local aerial installer in the bb post code. we use winter hill but at the far end of the m65 I've experienced signal loss and o think it's due to the large mountain of waste bro g dumped at accrington tip which is as high as a high as a lol ok. can it be investigated. sorry if the tex5 doesn't make sense but your site isn't good to type on my phone. my mobil number is 07999000418 aerial ace.com

john richardson: This website has no connection with any broadcaster or transmitter company. I'm also not sure the transmitter company can investigate anything to do with a landfill site.
