I'm in Lower Preston (TQ3 2DH). I have an aerial in the loft, black tipped, I think wideband. For SD channels I get 90% signal strength, 100% quality, no errors. For HD channels, signal quality and strength is low and usually so bad that I get no reception. My Samsung TV says BER 2000, signal strength zero, then sometimes works.
It has been like this for at least three years. Is anyone else getting similar problems from Beacon Hill?
I am suspecting some kind of 4G or 5G interference locally. I have a yellow tipped Group B aerial that I am going to try instead. (BBCB on C47 is on the edge of the 5G frequencies and is the one with the problems, so I'm hoping a group B aerial will filter that a bit). Is there something obvious that I have missed? Thanks.

Adrian: Try contacting Restore TV (the organisation setup and funded by the mobile networks to resolve 700/800MHz interference problems) at the link below. They should be able to send you a free plug-in filter if 4G/5G interference is predicted to be likely at your location.

A Group B aerial is unlikely to make any difference as it still will have a reasonable response into the lower 50s. The frequencies above C48 (C49 actually as 49 is a guard channel) can be used by 4G or 5G but that doesn't change the interference potential if a mast is close to you. The Filter mentioned by Stevensonln1 is the way to go.

There is someone who has the knowledge and the technical hardware to target individual mobile data signals, I know because I am currently and for 5 or more years been a victim of this no matter what technical changes I make it is undone in a matter of minutes I've tried it all VPN'S , APP LOCKS , REBOOTS , CHANGED PASSWORDS , but nothing I do prevents someone stopping my streaming at will, for example this is a none smoking house but every time I make a cigarette while streaming utube or anything else it will begin again signal loss to the point where I have to go into settings to reboot the device. These people are beyond words well words I can call them here. I just want it to stop but I see that happening.

It sounds like you have an unreliable data/broadband connection for some reason.
The way you have phrased your post, it's unclear if you are streaming via a mobile connection (ie have mobile broadband - MBB) or are streaming over a landline - in which case you may have a bad line or just very slow because it's a long line in a rural area.
We'll need more information to make any helpful suggestions.
Is it MBB or Landline? Who is the provider? Your full postcode - but not any personal information.
Are you streaming on a Smart TV or a computer (or mobile phone even)?

As you haven't provided a full postcode I can't do any specific checks for your locale. However there is no Planned Engineering or reported Faults that I can find for the Beacon Hill transmitter.
If you still have a problem, do check that your aerial is still intact and p[pointing in the correct direction and that the downlead isn't flapping in the wind.
Check all your coax connections behind your TV. Bad connections, water in the coax etc can sometimes just affection individual multiplexes and not all of them.
