After the switch over on Sandy Heath March/April we will have to do a re-tune, there has been mention of another re-tune later on in the year, is there any info on this one and why.

John: As above " NOTE: The commercial multiplexes at Sandy Heath will remain on their pre-switchover channels and powers for a period after digital switchover. SDN will then temporarily move to channel 31 (at 20kW ERP) during the third quarter of 2011, before adopting its final allocation of channel 51 in mid 2012. Arqiva A will adopt its final allocation of channel 52 in late 2011. Arqiva B will temporarily move to channel 67 (at 20kW ERP) during the third quarter of 2011, before adopting its final allocation of channel 48 in late 2011. "

have experienced very poor intermittant reception between 5pm and 6.30 pm for last month. No reception at all for much of tonight after 5.15pm. these comments refect exact same promlem from a recent post from someone in Walgrave which is 6 miles north of here. There is a post from Overstone (1 mile from here) about total loss of signal at the week end. It is beyond mathematic probability that these incidents are unrelated. If the Sandy Heath transmitter is ok, who do we contact to sort the problem? Chris Moulton Northants NN3 7TN

On Friday the signal came back and remained, until last night, now it has completely gone again. I had booked for an engineer to check cables etc, but as it came back clearly this is not the problem. Brian, I have checked all the things you have said but nothing makes a difference.........????

Leanne: In that case, you probably do need an engineer to check your equipment.

I seem to share a similar problem to that several other people have described. Currently reside in PE8 where until the last month or so I received near perfect freeview reception - it appears to be mostly Mux 2. Nothing has changed in my set-up. Signal Strength on my Humax PVR has dropped from a minimum of 60% down to 40% and quality of signal varies wildly.... Is this how its going to remain or is this a temporary problem?
Any Ideas?
