Really had enough of weeks of TV interuption we live near scunthorpe and the signal strength is diabolical.........! there should be compensation from the TV licence for the poor quality reception we have had to endure for the past 2 months!!! if common sense prevailed the engineering works would be best served during the night after midnight/

We use freeview in the mansfield area and since January,we used Emely Moor transmitter on the advise of a reliable Aerial rigger who knows what he is doing.Well the signal strength has gone down by the month,so we tried the belmont,we lost even more channels ,so back to emley moor only to find we have lost the main BBC channels ,there is nothing wrong with our tv,the cable or the freeview and we are intelligent enough to update the unit on software as and when.I think it is appalling that we have to pay this licence for the rubbish reception we are getting ,so we have been forced to go freesat in our area ,as looking on the maps where these transmitters are it appears Mansfield is on the edge for both these transmitters to give any good reception ,so you have now been advised if you are in the mansfield area expect a lot of hassle and become the poorer, unless you live on top of a hill!

The passed few months have been diabolical with my Panasonic HDTV, we have on average been missing at least six Freeview channels. Today we are missing the first 10 channels. The reset procedure is done virtually everyday with little success. Fortunately I have a Humax Freeview Box as backup, which works ok. Has anyone any idea when everything will be back to normal.

I also live in Mansfield and have been receiving Emley Moor transmissions since it started up. When I purchased a new Samsung full HD TV I did not expect to receive HD, I was amazed to find my pictures were superb in HD on all four stations, and all freeview stations SD are good.

My group B ant. with a narrow band masthead amp. has been up for years. My Samsung TV shows 93% sig. strength on HD ? more than the 60% on the rest of Freeview stations ?.

Looking at the coverage maps in close-up it can be seen that even a few yards away from me reception can be a problem, so location is very critical.

Our signal from Emley Moor has suddenly gone very weak. It was working perfectly yesterday; now channels like Challenge and VIVA say 'no signal'. Analog reception has also gone rather snowy.
I haven't made any changes to my aerial system since yesterday, and there haven't been any high winds or anything. Emley Moor's status is 'working normally'; anyone else have problems?
