i've also had probs since yesterday. spoke to uk and they tell me that the has been changed on the to a stronger one..unfortunately my box (ferguson) is 'splitnit' and therefore unable to cope with the new stronger frequency. This is very frustrating as the '' should have happened until August in my area. now i have to buy a new freeview box (when I can afford to) so i can wtch my tv again!!!!!!!

KMJ,: Thanks. My only other theory apart from the usual too much/too little was that SDN has been put on prematurely. It's meant to still be on + until August.

floramarg: The 'Split NIT' issue first surfaced in the major retune in 2009. It's possible you didn't experience a problem if you haven't retuned the box since before then.

If you didn't, you would have lost C5 when it moved from Mux A to Mux 2, with ITV3 moving in the other direction.

Switched on my tv last night did not have itv 1 C4 or C5 RETUNED MY TV still did not have them now after bbc 2 now is BBC 3 instead of itv 1 could anyone with this problem.

hmmm. Still cant get mux 2 on . When I run the tv tuner on the pc it states a good strength, 100% and that it has 'locked' onto C31 but there are no program IDs or transport streams, all the others working as normal.

Have they done anything weird or wonderful on mux 2 since the move to C31? (Changed the modulation?) Its completely flummoxed me.

I am not a technical guy but am having the same problem...no ITV1, ITV2, etc. My Bush BTU160DTR has the tick so I assume should work. I have retuned a number of times but still nothing. I did note that the software I have is not what TUTV say should be the current version...so I do not know if that might affetct.

What is the advice...I would like to avoid a total wipe and reset as that will lose my recordings. HELP!

Hi.

I am in , overlooking the Trent Valley, in direct line with . This is in the wrong direction to be effected by any signals. I performed the re-tune on my DVB-T tuners in my PC just before 6:00am on the morning of the 13th. This worked fine. Today, I also re-tuned my Mothers TV, which also uses the same , and again no problems.

However, in the past, I have had difficulties with too much , since there is a great deal of difference in the sensativity of PC tuner cards/USB Devices. I have to use an (even though there is nothing in line with Waltham !!!), but this proved too strong for an AverMedia USB Stick I was using (very high sensativity). I got around the problem by using an Attenuator (bought from Maplins) for around £5. This reduced the strength sufficiently to the more sensative devices, thus making the signal stable again.

I still lose all signals, however, in very good weather, when the 'temperature inversion' problem strikes.

As for multiple signals, I don't know about specific Digi-Box designs, but on a number of PCs, I have been using the very good DVBViewer program (around 15 euros still, I think). The pro version allows for any number of tuners (so if you have six, in theory you can record absolutely anything from Freeview all at the same time!) to co-exist in the same machine, and will differentiate between more than one signal. For some frequencies, the stronger Waltham signal is chosen by the software, but a much weaker Nottingham version still is indicated in the provider listings, but can be egnored.

Sorry for the long post. I will say, though, that even though re-tuning worked for me, it did cause the software to crash once(never done before), and the , as mentioned in someone's previous post, has seemingly dimminished slightly. Oh for HD! Roll on August.

I am in NG25 and just checked Ch 31 554Mhz from (ITV1,2,Ch4 etc). All seems fine.

I have had co- problems with on Ch49 - strength was good but problems.

Do you get a strong (ish) secondary stations on presets 800-810. Are these also Ch31?

Ben Johnson If you still have Mux2 in the under the old your tuner will ignore the identical set of channels on if scanning to add channels. If you don't want to do a factory reset you will have to delete any Mux2 channels from the channel list then do a manual tune for C31.

I don't think it's cross with as I'm on Sandy at home. Got all mux at home with no problems and none are on 31.

In the shop ( about 1/2 a mile from the customer) we are also on and have no problem with mux2. It's got me stumped.
