Meirion - I think the answer may be "never". Some local transmitters will only carry the "public service" muxes, and I think Cefn Mawr is one of them.
From google you seem to be on the North side of the valley - are you high enough to "see" The Wrekin?
Non-Welsh speaking readers may be interested to know that "Cefn Mawr" means big (mawr) ridge/bank - in this case referring to the side of the River Dee Valley as it emerges from the Welsh Hills onto the Cheshire Plain.

Hi I live in DY8, have never received full freeeview but since changeover, has got much worse, one of the boxes has lost all BBC chanels, and most of the others have picture brakeup. with an amplifier I get 38% signal strength and 86% Quality. Have I any hope of getting the chanels back in September or am I better giving up and switching to FREESAT.

Bill Pine: As above "After the PSB multiplexes switch at The Wrekin, the Arqiva multiplexes will remain on their pre-switchover frequencies and powers, and SDN will use a temporary frequency, for a short period before all three multiplexes adopt their final frequencies and powers during September 2011. During this transition period the commercial multiplexes will use the following frequencies: SDN ch49 and ch31 (both 2kW), Arqiva A ch57 (not 53) (1kW), Arqiva B ch53 (not 57) (1kW). "

steve: You might need to get your aerial checked, you should be able to get a good service from Brierley Hill and Sutton Coldfield - and by 28 September all services from The Wrekin.

Hi
I've got a reception problem...
I was able to see all the freeview channels yesterday morning, but when I switched on the tv again yesterday evening, they've all gone.
Every channel shows "No or bad signal"...
I've done "autosearch" a few times, but it didn't pick any channel...
I'm in The Wrekin transmitter area.
Is there anything I should check?
Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks Briantist,
I checked the suggestions on that page and meanwhile I've spoken to my neighbor in the same building and found out we all have lost the signals.
We'll speak to the owner of the building who is responsible for the aerial tomorrow.
The aerial may have some problems...
