Thomas: I'm glad you've said that. Yes, I'm in Sheffield and my Channel 5 analogue (on 37 from Emley) has gone slightly weak since yesterday. It has been fine before for many years. The other four channels from Emley are fine as ever.

Briantist, it might be an idea to remove that 'upgrade to a Wideband aerial' advice from the top of the page. All of Emley Moor's channels, both pre-DSO and the provisional post-DSO, fall within the B group. Channel 56 does not appear on any Ofcom allocation tables for Emley Moor as yet.

I seem to have suddenly developed pixillation and clicking on BBC channels only.
A reset of channels has not helped.
Any advice would be helpful.

melvyn: The two muxes that you are missing are both transmitted at lower power than the rest, so would be expected to be affected first by any deterioration in the aerial condition, cable/connector fault or obstruction in the signal path. It could be that trees in leaf are currently reducing the level of signal being received by your aerial.

Holmfirth

I am from Holmfirth and pickup signals from Emley Moor.I purchased a new Freeview HD television in Dec2010. All channels worked perfectly until about three weeks ago when the 4 HD channels partly came and went, now none of HD work at all.The other channels are fine. I have reset the factory/shipping option on the tele but still nothing. Ariel is in the loft in the same place for the last 25years. Transmitter claims not to have any engineering work at the moment. Can you please advise?

This morning, around 6:27am, analogue Channel 4 severe interference or transmitter fault, analogue ITV1 broadcasting 16:9 instead of 14:9. Both faults were corrected by 6:40am - perhaps related to DSO?

Thomas: Probably nothing to do with DSO, probably just a fault causing the transmitter to use backup feeds for analogue for several minutes.

has anyone else had intermittent signal issues (especially with the HD channels) on freeview? am using a sony bravia tv bought at xmas and generally v good but over last month or so, some of the HD channels go to no signal or poor signal. and this evening, lost the BBC channels for a little while. I think I am on the Emley Moor transmitter but don't think there are any problems there.
