Thanks Brian both those post are very helpful.
Think the ITV on analogue being on number 2 inplace of number 3 will cause the old folk a problem who use number 3 for ITV1, will standby for a call over the fence in the morning "lost my ITV".
The lady uses the analogue for the main 5 programs and a Freeview box for the others.

No captions, but we did get a nice voice announcement over the credits of the previous BBC2 show shortly before the channel went off air.

BBC2 off 00:22
ITV1 off 00:23

Not sure when ITV1 started again on BBC2's old frequency, but it was off for so long that I fell asleep.

Retuned my TVs this morning at 6am, and something odd has happened. BBC channels are in their usual place, on C47 now, but there's a duplicate set of BBC channels on C46 (which my TV puts into the 800s)! Both are reported as being on the 'Yorkshire' network.

Thomas: C46 is Multiplex B from Emley Moor. The duplicates will be BBC Four, CBeebies and BBC Parliament, along with the radio stations. The new BBC A on C47 is higher capacity and carries all the BBC's SD services after switchover. This is so Multiplex B can be cleared for HD services. (Yes, I know Emley Moor already broadcasts HD - strictly this is a separately-licensed multiplex that shuts down at DSO2. Multiplex B is licensed at all sites.)

Quite a long wait for the multiplex for the main BBC channels to come up. It would have helped if Emley Moor T.x website had shown which multiplexes would be used for the two week period starting today. For info they are : C40 C46 C47 C49 C50 and C52. Especially important here in York where if you use Autotune you can end up with a mix of signals from Emley Moor and Bilsdale. In this area manual tuning is required to receive programmes from Emley Moor

So far, so good. I've just done a rescan and the signal strength on C47/BBCA is 95% (compared to around 75%-85% on the pre-DSO muxes). Strange that I can now pick up other bits and pieces that I couldn't see before (C22, C25, C28)?

Yes same here near Leeds Belmont is still more power and getting in with its BBC local Lincoln news and not the local news from Leeds.
I guess a lot of Joe Publics will be joining the Peter Levvy fan club tonight, what a surprise for them.

@David : That explains it, the new muxes I've picked up are from Belmont (since the DSO of the 17th of August?).
