I'm at RH19 3RL with the old analogue aerial pointing at Crystal Palace. By manual tuning Channels 22 & 31 report no signal. For channels 25,29 & 32 the signal indicator is between BAD and NORMAL and I get all the programmes. Channels 28 & 34 are between NORMAL and GOOD on the indicator. The variation seems strange - will the situation improve on switchover or is it an aerial problem?

Andy: The Digital UK predictor suggests that you won't receive any digital channels from Crystal Palace prior to switchover, so I'd say you're doing pretty well.
I expect that you will be OK come switchover. I wouldn't do anything with regards changing aerial etc before then as the current aerial might be just fine and therefore any money you do spend will only be for benefit for the next four months.

Hello,
What an interesting site, questions and your responses!
I found your site as I was searching for help/info that might help me understand why this evening I am not receiving BBC4... Had sat down to watch/enjoy the programme about Jerusalem but nothing... Other than a standard message saying "no digital tv signal available".
This appears to be the only channel affected! As I have reviewed all others (including BBC parliament etc)
Is it possibly an issue with the transmission?
Any useful ideas welcome

Hi
I have most of the digital channels but no HD channels. My a aerial has some sort of a booster on it. Is the signal for the hd Channels weaker? Will it be stronger once the analog signal has been turned off?

Hello. Freview HD channels have taken a nose dive in strength and quality - unusable. I am in Orpington Kent and I have received freeview hd with no issues for months. We currently point to Crystal Palace. Does anyone know what might have happened in recent days?
