I shouldn't be concerned about the change in the. It is probably down to another becoming co-. Predictors should always be taken with a pinch of salt, and in any case, I assume that you are actually more interested in what happens in practice. What's more, October 2013 is a long way away!

My 1 year old Sony Bravia TV with built-in only finds 20 TV (BBC, some ITV, 4, 5 and HD channels) and most - all with a strong . If I plug the same ariel into my old Freeview box I get absolutely every Freeview TV and Radio channel, all with a strong signal.

The TV software is up to date and apparently some neighbours have seen the same thing with their setup where some devices only see the main (i.e. old /analog) channels where other devices find all the channels on the same ariel.

Has anyone come across this behaviour before? I'm in BA15, access the and the problem has existed for well over 12 months.

Matt: It is the case that there is now a two-tier television . About 98.5% of the population can receive terrestrial television with about 8.5% of those only receiving PSB .

Each mux is a single which occupies the same space as a single former service.

The PSB network has been designed such that it will be available everywhere that the former four analogue channels were. The COM network fits but doesn't provide as good a coverage.

Refer to this page which the last graph shows the (then) 80 full- with projected figures for the number of homes that will receive PSB+COM and PSB-only. Whilst, undoubtedly, the figures are estimates, they nonetheless give a general indication that the COM signals are, to some degree, inferior to the PSBs.

The outcome you have could be as a result of this. Is it the COMs that are always iffy?

From what you describe, the PSBs are fine.

Try manually tuning the COMs but, having gone to the manual tune screen, enter/select the UHF channel number but don't press the button to straight away. See whether it gives any indication as to the strength and of the signal. Once you have the reading, then scan.

Further to that a friend, who lives about 200 meters from us in Eastington, has just had a new fitted. The strength from was stonger than from Wenvoe.
UK shows Wenvoe should provide the strongest signal for Eastington.

Hi I can't get 58 from , it says 0% strength. I have full strength on 48 52 56 54 and have all the programmes
Obviously I need 58 for HD
any ideas

John Boyce: The most common reason for people finding that they get on the HD is because the doesn't contain a DVB-T2 tuner which is the used for HD signals in the UK. definition pictures use DVB-T format. If you are manually tuning, you may (depending on the design of the receiver) need to tell it that uses DVB-T2 mode.

I have checked and the Smasung TB550 DOES have buitl in DVB-T2
There is nothing in thje setup menu to select DVBT2
any other suggestions?
