Ian from notts: just to add there are no 800MHz masts in the area yet and as Brian said you'd be pretty unlucky if you were to be affected. It depends on 3 things, proximity to dtt transmitter and its power, proximity to 4G mast and the frequencies your dtt transmitter uses.

Paul: Since both your TV and your very reliable PVR are both showing a problem, it sounds like your aerial connection, or possibly your reception generally.
If the repair guy says your TV has a main board fault, then thats fine, but its odd that both boxes have a problem picking up a signal. Try the PVR in your neighbours house - if its fine, then you have have to wonder about your setup.

Cheers guys. Will have to get aerial checked out professionally, as it all seems fine to me. Also Humax PVR works fine until about 7pm, then it goes. Have also ordered a 4G filter to try as well.

Paul- I am going back some years now to the start of freeview but I knew someone who lost his signal at 7pm every night. It turned out to be his next door nieghboors central heating coming on. lots changed since then but you just brought the memory back

paul: To add to what Ian from notts says, another cause of such problems has been faulty street or "emergency" lighting.
It's clearly NOT 4G as that is on all the time.

I perform a re-scan my Samsung smart tv to find out if any new tv channels have come on, or have carriers transmitting prior to switch on.
After my latest re-scan, I noticed that we now have 3 new channels on standard free view i.e. travel channel on 42 and film 4+ 1 on channel 45( not transmitting yet ) and true entertainment on channel 61.However, after going through all the available channels I've noticed that there's a film 4 transmitting on channel 791. At the top of the screen it reads, Film 4 is moving .If you can see this on channel 15,please retune your free view equipment, to ensure you continue to receive this channel. This can either mean that film 4 is moving to 791, or it's a temporary placement for it till they make room for it later on, which I believe they are trying to group channels for easier navigation for the viewer. Anyone have any idea what is being planned?

I am having some issues with reception on the COM 6 channels, mainly VIVA.
Some days picture is fine and then next day will be jerky, picture will pause but sound still plays.
Also have times when it looks like the signal just drops out for a fraction of a second every 30 seconds or so.
Any thoughts on this.

Andy- Where I live (North Notts/Derbys) S, Coldfield is a main transmitter of use, If not local, COM6 is general 1 of the weaker signals and its channels (VIVA) will be the first to show problems.
Do a signal check on all MUX's to see if they are general similar ?
Do you have a Booster/Splitter fitted or Distribution Unit?

Bob Chapman; The obvious question would be, have you tried another battery? as the frequency used by remote controls is no where near that used by Freeview transmitters.
