Dear Sir.
I have a relative who lives in the BN59NP area, her TV receives from the Heathfield transmitter. She has a modern Sony HD freeview TV and a recently fitted BT Humax HD set-top box, both receivers cannot pick up any of the freeview HD channels.
Can you please advise if the Heathfield transmitter is transmitting freeview HD?
If yes, can you please advise why she cannot pick up any of the HD channels?

Chris: If all other channels are being received OK then there is no reason for not being able to receive HD transmissions from Heathfield which are transmitted on multiplex Ch47.
However in the interests of accuracy more detailed instructions can only be given if the model numbers of both the Sony TV and also the Humax box are given to enable the specifications of both devices to be checked out.

Chris: Just to add to that already said earlier on, if these devices are relatively new then ask your relative to have a look at the user manuals for each of the devices in question, and in particular the section titled "Specifications", then look down the list for "Tuner" and check if DVB-T2 is seen mentioned, because if only DVB-T is seen then the device cannot receive HD transmissions.
If though they are unable to find the manuals then this can easily be checked out if the model numbers are given.

My ariel is pointing towards Heathfield and I have never had any trouble. Since yesterday I have no signal at all on any TV. I have tried re-tuning, been in the loft and checked splitter and wires etc, and it all looks ok. Yesterday the TV said no signal, worked when Doctor Wwo came on and went off again straight after. I think it is the transmission rather than at my end. Any thoughts?

My postcode is tn49st. My hd signal has been pixilated, then broke up now is non existent. My sky sports boost is so pixilated its impossible to watch. This has happened over the last 5 days. Our aerial installers say there is no problem there. Our tv is one month old and we had our freeview box installed with the TV. TV man says he is having lots of complaints about reception from Heathfield transmitter. We live on a hill almost facing the transmitter with no trees in front of us. Aerial on roof, can you help please?

I receive Freeview in RH150AR from Heathfield and seemingly too frequently (about once or twice every other weekend) get the screen instruction to retune. Is this to be expected or is there an issue that either you or I need to address?

i need some help. I am in the bn22 area of Eastbourne pointing towards heathfield. I can get most channels but on uhf 52 I can receive bbc1-3 but not bbc4 cbbies bbc news24 and the red button channels. if I do a new installation it will not receive those channels either, if I manual tune uhf52 I can pick them all up but then I knock out other channels from uhf 41-42-44-49 as though they wont save to the freeviews memory. if I auto install after manual instal of uhf52 I then loose the news channels again and bbc4 but keep bbc 1-3

just to answer my own question I think I have solved this issue with the channels.
I deleted some of the other channels that are not used like bt vision and a few of the ones from the 700 area and then rescanned manual on uhf52 and hey presto the channels have appeared and saved onto the listing. it looks like the TV`s memory was full and just leaving out the ones it couldn't get on.

We are experiencing severe interference on channels covered by the Com4 SDN Mux. We have carried out the reset procedure to no avail. The interference only affects one of the two TV's in the house. Any ideas?
