Phil White: Please check your signal strength - your 5 miles away from the transmitter, and a retune often seems to lead to overloaded tuners.

Does liable to interruption mean no signal for an extended period of time with Beacon Heath? Ariel in loft with booster TQ13 0RF

Hello,
Has there been any works carried out on the transmitter in the last week or two?
Having some issues with TV signal. It was fine before christmas. Some people have mentioned the new 4G signals? Are these strong in the area which could effect it?
Thanks

Martin:
Can someone from the BBC explain why their service from Beacon Hill and its repeaters, especially Brixham have consistently lower signal levels than any of the ITV and other commercial groups. Also, why their service is constantly suffering from breakup whilst again none of the ITV channels suffer interference. Is it simply a case that here in the West Country we don't count as far as the BBC is concerned.
As I said once before, if you can't provide a proper service, get some 5 year olds in to run your services!
Incidentally, the Beacon hill transmitter has no problems according to tis website. You could've fooled me!

Hello,
I am lucky enough to be able to receive both Beacon Hill and Stockland Hill main TV transmitters at quite good signal strengths:I have found that both have exhibited some inexplicable signal variations and that overnight the Stockland Hill Tx has broadcast some strange signals with non-standard channel names! I assume that the BBC and/or Arquiva are carrying out test broadcasts but have never been able to decode/demodulate them. It would be nice to know all that is going on?
The first thing we notice is the legendry 'new channels found',e.g.ITV4 +1 and BBC RB302 this morning. Ah well, progress in the dark is better than no progress? But it is ALWAYS nicer to know.

Our community association has received some complaints in the TQ2 5SZ area about the television service being broadcast from the Torquay Town transmitter in Torbay over the past few days. A poor quality signal has been reported resulting in intermittent loss of sound and picture break up. The problem does not affect viewers in the area who changed their aerials to alternate transmitters that offer a larger number of freeview channels since digital switchover or subscribed to Sky or Virgin media. However this particular transmitter normally provides an excellent service in the area for people who are happy with a handful of channels and can also get results using an indoor aerial. Could this transmitter have developed a fault following recent bad weather?

Nick Burleigh: Looking at Radio & Television Service there are no reports of problems with the transmitter.
However... gale force winds are likely to have damaged a large number of rooftop aerials. It is possible that this might be the cause.
