All depends on how the various signals are multiplexed together to form the broadcast stream. Many SD services have used the 64QAM method (works with DVB-T tuners) but HD and newer SD multiplexes use 264QAM which needs a DVB-T2 tuner. So it gets much more data into the same bandwidth data stream.

The site shows COM7 & 8 as being from August 2014, but if I have read it correctly, DigitalUK are showing a retune date of 1-Apr-2014 for the channels on these muxes.

You won't get MUX 7 & 8 from Mendip until later in the year as the TX aerials at the moment are for C/D transmissions, they need new aerials to cope in the CH 30s

picked up a signal today sunday 23/03/14 on ch33 from the mendip tx,tried to tune hd box but to no avil so the new hd channels should be on pretty soon.

As I said in a previous post COM 7 & 8 will not be available until later in the year, as the C/D TX aerials neen to be changed to be able to handle the low 3X channels.

The addition of COM 7 & 8 also means that a great many people who may wish to receive the programmes carried on these muxes later this year will need to change their receiving aerials. The current signals are transmitted in group C/D (covers channels 48-68 but channels 61-68 no longer used for DTTV) but the new ones will be in group A (channels 21-37) so a suitable wide band aerial will be needed. I would strongly advise using a log-periodic aerial as they have a fairly 'flat' response across the spectrum of TV signals whereas the 'traditional' wide band designs are not so good at the lower channel numbers.
A good log-periodic (they are the same for digital and analogue signals so don't be fooled by the marketing hype) will be adequate for any changes that may happen over the next several years, so an investment this year will last well if of good quality and well installed.
