Since just before Christmas, the Freeview reception at my house (and 2 neighbours' houses) has been subject to frequent poor reception periods followed by periods of perfect reception. We are in a poor reception area so any reduction in transmitter power tends to have a big effect. Are you working on the transmitter?
TR9 6BD - we use Caraden

douglas saunders: This website is independent of broadcasters and does not have a crystal ball. If Digital UK can't tell you then I can't see how anyone else can tell you.
One thing: looking at Streetview aerials are pointing to Plympton which does not, according to Digital UK, have engineering works.
You're in a tricky spot because you don't have line-of-sight to either Caradon Hill or Plympton, you being at the bottom of a drop for each.

douglas saunders: If your aerial were to point to Plympton you could potentially be tuned incorrectly to Caradon Hill, in which case then that is what needs putting right. Guidance on this can be given if you think it might be a possibility.

Tim, could you kindly provide a link to the original source of the notification of COM7 from the Caradon mast. Thus far I find no test transmissions on ch 31.

Tim, Many thanks! I didn't think of the coverage checker :-) And I had not noticed that COM 7 is HD. So my lowly SD box would be blind. But I do have a vintage HD box in the loft, so I will have to borrow a duster from the XYL . . . I may not get a signal from Caradon at 50+ miles, but the checker sugests Wenvoe, so I will have to hoist a dedicated log and possibly dynamite the headland in the way... Before I do that, I had better check whether the programmes available on COM 7 merit the effort...
