No problems in the Highworth area from the Oxford Transmitter so must be somewhere in your installation. On one occasion I had this when a light bulb failed and tripped the circuit breaker for a few lights. It was the also the power source for my aerial amplifier!
Check your aerial leads are pushed in fully and as a last resort do a re-tune.

That's Oxford is now transmitting a comming soon type caption. I have not checked which channel it is on, but LOX was on channel 29 the last time I checked not 51 as projected. Reception of the caption is ok at SN3 which is presumably of course is well outside its editorial area. The rest of the stations on the MUX are of course also receivable here.

Yes, the test transmission is from the LOX multiplex on UHF Ch 29 and appears on slot 8 of the EPG.
This must be very recent as it wasn't there a couple of days ago when I last checked.

I'm getting freeview signals from two transmitters (Sutton Coldfield & Oxford) so getting the '800' channels.
I'm planning on doing the manual tune but getting conflicting advice from your site and a couple of others as to which transmitter I should 'target'.
My postcode is NN13 5PN and, geographically, Oxford is far closer and, according to a terrain check I did (can't remember which site) I have a clear path to the Oxford transmitter.
Your site recommends Oxford which is what I will plump for but just wondered why the other recommendations to target Sutton Coldfield. I have no preference in terms of regional programmes.
Is it likely that a manual tune will resolve a recentish problem where programmes set to record (on a Humax 9300) don't actually record unless I happen to start watching the programme which is supposed to be recording ?
Thanks in advance for an interesting site on which I've been 'lurking' for a number of years !

Alex Wilde: As you are using a Humax 9300 then the best policy to to carry out an auto tune but exit it before it picks up any channels, as that action will wipe everything stored in the tuner.
The next stage is to carry out a manual tune on Oxfords SD channels as listed below, remembering to press "save" after scanning each Mux, the station being @ 18 miles /174 degrees.
BBC/ C53 - ITV / C60 - SDN / C50 - ArqA/ C59 - ArqB C55
However, the reception predictor does indicate that Sutton Coldfield (46 miles / 326 degrees) can provide a better signal, this stations SD channels being as follows.
BBC / C43 - ITV/C46 - SDN/C42 - ArqA / C45 - ArqB/C39

Note that the localisation of some services, particularly the news bulletins, will be for the West Midlands areas from Sutton Coldfield transmitter and from the Central South services (unless they have migrated that to a more southerly provider). The choice is yours by selecting the channels you tuine to as suggested by jb38.

I have two Freeview HD tuners, one is a stb connected to the TV and the other is a USB stick attached to a computer. I recently retuned the stb and was surprised that it did not find BBC4 HD on channel 31, I've tried a manual tune for the channel and it reports finding BBC1 HD, etc. which are on channel 57. just to be sure I tried channel 57 and got the same results.
My PC tuner is still picking up BBC4 HD without problems, signal is reported as strong, both devices are running off the same aerial, I'm obviously loathe to do a re-tune in case I lose it.
Any ideas?

Stephen: Some HD receivers have issues which inhibit them from receiving two DVB-T2 (HD) multiplexes at once. Knowledge of the make and model number will allow others on here to comment on whether it is affected.
However, try the automatic tuning scan and unplug it before it gets to C57, this being to test whether it will pick up and allow you to watch COM7 on C31. If it will then it would appear that your box will only show one DVB-T2 mux.
