I can pick up BBC north west etc in the lounge but pick up BBC Wales in the bedroom which is only 12 feet away and is serviced by the same aerial
Please advise how you tune the bedroom TV to North West

Judith: If the TV has a "region" or "network" setting in the menu then this is one way to prefer the NW one to the Wales one. I think this is generally only newer receivers, particularly HD ones.
Manual tuning to Winter Hill, assuming this is the NW transmitter your aerial is directed to, might be the only easy way of achieving correct tuning. The problem is that it's likely tuned to Moel-y-Parc transmitter in North Wales -- this is an assumption on my part as without knowledge of your exact location it isn't possible to know exactly but this is generally a common issue in the NW.
Or unplug the aerial during the scan up until UHF channel 46 / 50%. This is tricky, isn't forced to work, may require additional work to get the exact timing right or may leave some channels out which means addiational scans ("add new services" or similar ideally).

Why after re tuning all 4 of my tv's is only picking up heat tv channel 54.
All same make, on same aerial all have built in

Karen Greenwood: I take it "heat tv" is actually "Heart TV" and you're referring to logical channel number 54 rather than UHF channel 54 as Winter Hill doesn't use it.
The answer is likely to be due to the fact that the signal isn't as good. You need to do a manual scan of UHF channel 57 (762MHz).

Hi. I have lost all my TV channels . I tried scanning the channels and resetting everything but it still doesn't work. Apparently there is no damage to the cables or connections or socket etc . Could you please help ?

Presuming you are talking about oss of Freeview services, a post code is needed to determine which transmitter is likely to be the more likely for you to receive Freeview programmes.
It is possible that by doing the retune you have now removed all the channels you were getting so if the problem was a temporary fault you would need to retune again when the fault has cleared. Did you check with neighbours who use Freeview whether they had lost programmes?

Karen, Heart TV is on a very low power transmitter with a directional aerial, beamed from winter hill in the direction of Stockport. Most people can't get it at all. Tiny differences in the sensitivity of TVs will give the effects you are getting. Assuming that you have no loose cables etc, the only solution is a better aerial. As it is not known how long this service will last and assuming reception on all the other channels is OK, you may not want to take that option.
