Since 22.00 Sunday 13 November no reception on BBCA. As far as I can tell, all other HD channels are Ok. I had to switch to C4+1 to watch the F1 race. The problem continued till I went to bed at 01.00

Why is it taking such a long time to have Emly Moore broadcasting local services in HD? I'm sick of seeing Granada when I should be watching Yorkshire TV. Are thousands of companies that advertise, happy with the fact that their locally aimed advertising is being seen in the wrong area?
ITV Yorkshire is already available in HD for Freesat viewers, so why not from Emly Moore? I would have thought it quite possible to disconnect the HD Granada feed, and replace it with Yorkshire HD. I know that if the advertisers were to threaten to withdraw their advertising for out of region stations, the change over would be done in double quick time!

Nigel Dixon: It isn't as simple as disconnecting Granada HD and connecting Yorkshire HD. ITV HD is broadcast on the PSB3 multiplex which is operated by the BBC and currently only has one North of England version which carries ITV Granada HD. The BBC have said that they intend to start rolling out regional versions of BBC One HD this year (which is also broadcast on PSB3) which will eventually result in each region carrying the correct regional version of both BBC One HD and ITV HD for their region, however no timescale has been announced yet for this to happen.

I would like to know when the Emory moor transmitter is being upgraded or transmitting ad a strengthened as we only receive 24ordinary channels and 5HD channels. I live on the lancashire/yorkshire boarder postcode bb18, it would be likely to get all 70 channels

Christine: If your not getting all the channels mentioned above, then perhaps you not tuned into the transmitter you think you are.

Emley Moor is Arqiva's flagship transmitting station, it carries ALL the muxes, including COMs 7 & 8 and a local TV mux, all at full power.
If you are not getting the full services, then either you have a fault in your antenna system or are not tuned to Emley but a small low power relay. From your partial postcode you could be tuned to Skipton, Cowling or several others. Please provide a FULL postcode and if possible the direction your aerial is pointing, and from that we can work out which relay you are watching.
You might be able to get Emley if you have your antenna set up for it, but you might find Keighley an easier option, which will give you more channels, but not all.
Also, remember that you will only get the HD channels if your equipment is fully HD capable, not just 'HD ready'

My mum's tv shows "no signal" on all channels in the morning but generally comes on around 11am. & is ok for the rest of the day.
Is this due to engineering works? Or a fault? I've retuned the tv, which is new, but no improvement.

Helen Wyatt: Engineering work doesn't take place every date and if there was a fault it would have been fixed within a few days (usually within hours). Retuning will never fix a loss of signal and is the worst thing to do as retuning whilst no signal is present will simply delete all the channels which were already correctly tuned. This sounds more likely to be caused by electrical interference being emitted by something which is operating before 11am. Check around your mum's home and with her near neighbours for anything operating on a timer (central heating pumps are a common cause).

The signal from the transmitter has dropped since mid October, e.g. we are not getting ITV on 3. It's happening on all TVs from different aerials in the house.
What are they doing to fix it?
