Hi Mike,
Many thanks for your reply. Good in some ways to hear that it's probably nothing to do with the transmitter. Have checked the signal and the strength is 76%, quality 100%. The Humax has three tuners, though, and that only applies to tuner 1 - tuners 2 and 3 have 0% for both quality and strength! I'll try taking the system apart and putting it back together to see if that has any effect.

Andrew: You've got a newish Humax with triple tuners, so logically, all 3 tuners should have the same signal level if they are on the same mux! If they dont, that might point to a fault with the box.
Certainly have a look at your system, but its an idea to try out someone else's system as well - if your having the same problem, thats more likely to be the box, although its odd to have two duff tuners.

Yes, I thought that was very strange indeed! I suspect it is a fault with the box (or perhaps with the connections between the box and the tv), because the aerial etc seems to work perfectly with my old Humax box (9200T). Argh, how annoying!

LE12 9EP we have had terrible BBC and other channel reception for the last 3 weeks. All procedures recommended have been done but to no avail. All equipment has been checked also, what is going on. We have had no HD channels at all for that period.

Murray Burton: Since I'm on Waltham, and its fine, start looking at your system , or something to do with it.
If you've lost the HD muxes, chances are that your system as a problem with a loose connection, frayed wire, etc somewhere - losing a mux is a classic sign of that. I bet your other muxes are just about at the level of reception (check your signal strength) , but they are not going to get any better.
Do a check back from the TV itself, and if needed, get a professional out to have a look.

For about the last six weeks on and off we are having problems in the morning's with all our television sets. They are all breaking up and then we receive a message that states no signal. We have never experienced this before. We have a aerial on our roof with a good quality booster in our loft. As the day goes on the televisions all seem okay with a perfect picture. Our post code is DE75 7TZ. I have asked the neighbours and they all have satallite dishes and receive programs through them. Could something that is being used in the morning by someone close affect our reception.? We have arranged for an engineer on Saturday. Any help would be appreciated.

Julie Cotterill: It does seem very likely that you are suffering from electrical interference from something being used nearby in the mornings. I would suggest checking within your own property and with your neighbours for anything being used during these times and see whether turning it off restores your signal.

HI I have been getting interference recently, these last few days, it has been bad on sky news mux com 5 it is intermittent but kind of unwatchable, I am now watching online as I am a sky news addict
BBC 1 news psb 1 is a lot better but I get a bit of interference on it, it has always been strongest mux for me really. ITV 1, PSB2 is OK well similar to PSB1, i get a bit of interference.
ITV3 (com4) seems good but it likely same as my other good one.
But main issue is COM5 too much interference for it to be comfortably to watch, it is kind of intermittent though
like electrical interference maybe from mobile comms, 4G and all that stuff.
It varies a bit right now it is OK. 5 bar strength, but earlier it was just 2, BBC 1 is 6-7 bar.
It does look like interference...........
However I tweaked my aerial (which is in the loft) and that has improved things considerably, ie
it is 7 out of 10 bars, bbc 1 is 9 out of 10..
So the tweak, just lifting the aerial a bit off the loft insulation gave me an extra 2 bars it seems.
So seems this post was a false alarm but I will leave it just incase the problem returns :O)
